Bridal Bouquets: Color vs. White

Hi ladies!

So I had thought I knew exactly what I wanted for my flowers and then when I was discussing boutonierres this weekend with a florist, it totally changed my way of thinking. Originally I wanted all dark puples and reds with pops of fushia and lighter purples in my bouquets. But the florist couldn't come up with a combination of flowers for the the grooms boutinerre that I liked. So I started to rethink my vision. Now I'm pondering an all white bouquet so that FH can have a white boutinerre and save the color for the bridal party. So my question to you (and I'm sorry this is so long) is what color is your bridal bouquet and the colors of your bm bouquet and what kind of boutinerres are your men wearing? Any pics would be greatly appreciated!! TIA

I wanted whites, cream, and peach but some say it doesn't stand out in pictures. I still can't decide exactly what I want. I wanted to use Picasso Lily also which has deep purple inside a small cala lily but that will change my whole neutral theme so I'm not sure!

Its all about red for me. So my bouquet is red roses, my bridal party will have different red flowers and the men have red rose bouts.

As of right now I am using gem tones (magenta/fuschia, bright gold yellow and amethyst purple) for the bridesmaids and those plus cobalt blue in mine..I thought colors would be fun and interesting.

I am planning on doing a colored Bo-K. I have blackmagic roses, burnt orange gerber daisies, mango callie lillies with berries mixed in there. THe BM Bo-K's are roses, callie lilles and berries. And the Groomsmen are doing callieliies.

I have white's with a hint of yellow. FH bout is white.
Girls have white with a lot of variations of yellow. The GM will have yellow rose bout's.

I had a yellow, purple, and green bouquet and DH had a white boutineer.

My boK was hot pink roses w/ some ivory callas and stephanotis. DH's boutuineer (sp?) was an ivory calla.

My girls Bok's were mostly ivory roses with a few pink callas. The guys all wore pink callas as well.

I really wanted color - my dress was ivory and the girls were wearing pink so I felt that it brought the two colors together well.

I am doing an all white bok, and my FH will have a white flower. The GM and BM will have lavendar roses with other flowers that are darker shades of purple.

ETA: My BM's had all red roses, and the GM's had red roses. But those were the colors of my wedding...black and red so mine were really easy!

But Ali is right...you don't necessarily have to match...get what you like!

So i am doing a purple, and blue bouquet. FH is going to wear a dark purple orchid like the one in this pic. This orchid could totally work for you!

my bouquet was light pink and light yellow.. DH had a white boutinniere.... my BMs had bright yellow bright pink and bright orange bouquets so the GM had the orange boutinniere since the girls wore yellow and the florist said the yellow flower wouldn't look good with yellow dressses

I had a white bok (FH had white boutonniere) and we left the color to the BP...I like that look better personally.. Here is a pic of how it looked

My bouquet was a mix of creamy whites but I still had some pops of color in it, DH had a white calla lily boutineer. I agree that it doesn't have to match...

Mine was all white peonies and I loved it. The BMs carried white stock with green thrown in.

i loved my bo-k. all pink peonies


the girls had smaller pink peonies bo-k with roses and other flowers and the men had yellow bouts

I always wanted color (but that's just my preference). My bouquet was mostly varying shades of purple orchids and my BMs carried all green bouquets

My bouquet is orange roses with deep purple calla lilies. FH will have the same calla lily and the unofficial 'groomsmen' (we don't have ladies) will have orange roses since their vests are plum.
I am SUPER obsessive over matching & colors....so I'm probably not the best person to contribute here

My bouquet will be white gerbers, white roses, white alstroemeria and yellow freesia for a pop of color!

FH will have white rose with a touch of yellow freesia for the bout!

My girls will be orange gerbers, circus roses, orange/yellow alstroemeria and yellow freesia.

GM will have circus rose bout.
