Bridal Designer Michael Nolte

Hey everyone,
This is my first post, so I should first start out by saying hello to you all! I've been lurking here for a while but finally decided to post...

Anyone else going to wear a Michael Nolte bridal gown for their wedding? I never heard of him before, but I just put down a deposit at Lillette's for his gown. I read somewhere that he was a bridal consultant who recently started his own line of gowns...should I be nervous if he's a newcomer, or does it really come down to the bridal shop I ordered it from??

Thanks!

-K

I wouldnt worry about it since I would trust Lillettes. They have been in the business for years so Im sure they wouldnt sell mediocre dresses!

BTW welcome!!

Congratulations and welcome! I haven't heard of that designer but I don't think it's anything to worry about if he's just starting out! I'm sure the dress is beautiful!

Hey Veggie - I'm glad to hear I'm not the only Michael Nolte AND Lillette's bride! For some reason I couldn't see the picture of your dress in the link you posted...(?). Now I want to hunt for a picture of my dress online! [Btw, I see your doing a vegetarian reception -- there will be meats served at our reception, but I'd like to get a vegan cake cause I don't eat butter and cream and stuff -- I'm hoping no one will notice.] :)

Thanks to everyone else for your responses too! I didn't realize more people replied until I dug up the thread today! : /

I am actually not going to by the dress through lillettes now. I did a little research and found the dress somewhere else for about $500 less. I have to order it and get my own seamstress but the savings is very much worth it.

For a vegan cake- call cakes by mona. Or vegan treats...they are in PA but they deliver to restaurants all over NYC and will deliver to LI.

Oh wow...$500? Nice! Had you already put down a deposit at Lillette's though? I did that like 2 months ago so I figure at this point I'm basically *locked* in with them, even if I were to find a better deal somewhere else...

And THANK YOU for the vegan cake recommendations! I'm going to look them up now...

You were smart...I kinda wish I did some more looking around, especially because Lillette's location isn't that convenient for me to get to. I guess part of me just wanted to get the dress-shopping over with haha.
