Thanks!

Re: Bridal Elegance - Dix Hills
I actually ordered my bridal gown from there. Ordering the gown was fine...I think I ordered my gown in March and the gown came in early June. The only issue that I had with them was they called and said my gown came in! I was super excited and flew up there the same day to try it on and see it.
The gown was perfect...upon leaving...the assistant that assisted us walked us to the counter and began asking how would we like to pay the balance of the gown. Now when we ordered the gown, my Mother paid 60% of of the gown off including taxes. And I remember asking when the gown would have to be paid off. The lady I was working with @ the time stated 'before alterations can begin, the entire gown must be paid off.' Understood. So flash forward...3 Months later, the assistant was asking for the balance of the gown. My Mother and I looked at her like she had four heads. Not that we did not have to balance for the gown...but we felt... #1: that the balance of the gown was not due until before alterations and... #2: It states it on the receipt..'The balance must be paid in full before alterations can be started.'
My Mother and I told her that the balance will not be paid that day and left. My Mom was fuming. Not only because they asked for it but because the assistant asked for the money when there were other clients that were standing right there.
Otherthan that incident, I have not had any issues with them. We will see when the time comes for fittings...

We ordered our bridesmaid dresses with them and had a great experience! The only thing was that I called to check on the status of the order and they had not ordered them. So they did a rush on the order and I got the call that the dresses were in within a couple weeks. This was not a huge problem for me because my wedding is this July, we ordered the dresses last August and they were supposed to be in by Oct and they came Nov- still PLENTY of time lol. Bridal gowns take longer than BM dresses so my advice is a month after you place the order, just call back to check on the status. Other than that, I loved working with them and they did have overall great reviews.

I LOVE Phyllis! When I got married in '07 I got my dress from her and she was fantastic. My sister just got married and got her dress from there. I was in two weddings recently and ordered my BM dresses from her as well. She's amazing!!!

I got my BM dresses there, and had some problems with communication - the dresses kept getting delayed, but no one called me to tell me anything. It wasn't their fault the dresses were delayed, but I was very frustrated that no one ever gave me any information - I kept having to call them (went on for at least 6 weeks).
But I will say once they figured out what was going on with the dresses they were helpful in getting things moving again.
