Was thinking of going, but wondering if it would be a waste of my time. Looks like it is run by a company that does a lot of them. Is it worth checking out? What are bridal expos all about?

I've never been to one, but have heard that they can be helpful. There are usually different vendors there, such as DJ's, bands, photo/videographers and florists, handing out flyers and information about their services. If you are free, go check it out!

Thinking on it. Went to an expo once that was supposed to be this big thing and there were 3 booths. Just want to make sure it will be worth the trip. Yankees are playing tonight.
Has anyone been to one of these?

I went to one 2 years back. I think it was really worth it, especially if you dont have much booked. It does get pretty crazy (busy) so I recommend getting there early.

I am not sure who ran mine but what a waste. Two limo companies, one dj, there photogs, and trashy outfit ones, tupperware, and laser hair remover. My sister and I were so embarrassed that we were there as well as pissed!!!JMO

Once you register, plan to be attacked by solicitation via phone, mail and email. They won't stop coming. I would never go again!

you can go and take a look, but honestly, i found this site more helpful than anything else.
if you do go, try not to put your contact info. on thigns... they will harass you continually. also, i find it's harder to 'strike a deal' at this expos.
one plus, i found my photographer at an expo. or rather, he found me from thier mailing list and called me.

Thanks for letting me know. Ended up not going. FH and I discussed what was said on the board and ended up raking instead. We are pretty much set on a photographer, DJ and dress shop so what else would I really need.

i went to this one last year, and i wound up getting called nonstop by vendors and they kept calling to insist i had won a 'free' honeymoon. definitely not worth your time!

i went to the last one at the mariott marquis..i left with 3 bags of brochures for different travel, photographers, dj's etc.. the place gets crazy and i personally did not find it helpful.
