Bridal Garden in NYC?

Has anyone heard of the store called Bridal Garden in NYC. Supposedly you can get couture dress for up to 70% off with the proceeds going to help the kids in NYC. I think the gowns are all previously worn gowns that people have donated but I'm not sure. Has anyone checked this place out?www.bridalgarden.org

I have been there and actually, most of the gowns are samples from the designers and in really great shape. Go during the day, during the week. It is a tiny space with only one dressing room. Also, be prepared to buy if you find something you love, because it might not be there when you come back. Finally, only go if you fit into sample sizes, which I guess is usually a bridal 8 or 10, b/c that is pretty much all they carry. I went early on in my search and found a gown that retailed for $3,500 that they were selling for $1,500, so you can get great deals. I wasn't ready to buy at that time, though. I think it is a real hit or miss place, since the selection is changing all of the time, but I really think it is worth a visit if it is not too far out of the way. Oh and make sure you call to make an appointment. They weren't open on Fridays during the summer, not sure if they are now or not. Good luck!
