I'm having the hardest time finding a dress that I love! I've narrowed it down to about 3 in 3 different places. I don't want to go to too many more places in fear that I'll become confused.
For those of you who have picked out your dress already....do you have any insight to share with me? Have I just not found 'The One' yet?

Re: Bridal Gown issues.....
It's usually a feeling you get in the bottom of your stomach when you have found the one!
Go back and try each of these 3 dresses on and see if you can see yourself swishing in the gown on the dance floor during your first dance hand in and hand with your FH. When you get that feeling, or close to it, you've found your dress!

I know it's hard choosing but the right gown will choose itself. I know it sounds corny, but it's true. If you feel like Cinderelle meeting her Prince - you've found the dress!!! You want to be in love with it, so you don't doubt anything while it's being made.

Re: Bridal Gown issues.....
Its definatly one of the HARDEST decisions to EVER have to make, IMO! The dress I am wearing is the 1st one I tried on out of a zillion... I knew it when I saw it in the magazine, as soon as I tied it on I knew it. EVERYONE absolutely loved it too. My mom cried a lil and my MOH almost did. My SIL and aunt both loved it, so we said THIS is it! Pix in album if you'd like to see!
Maybe post a poll with the 2 dresses youre torn between and see what LIW says?

There are so many gorgeous wedding dresses out there and you are going to look beautiful no matter which one you pick. The wedding dress is one of the most celebrated pieces of clothing in history and IMO the dress you select says something about who you are as an individual. So, I would try to think about how you want to look on your wedding day , what image do you want to portray and which dress most fits your personality or an aspect of your personality you want to show off on your wedding day.

I know how you feel. I couldn't make up my mind either and finally narrowed it down to two dresses in one place. I decided to think about it for a week and go back to the store to make my decision. On the day I went back, my consultant was running a little late so I started to flip through the dresses again. This dress (not one of the two I was there to see) like lit up on the rack and I knew it was the one! I tried it on and didn't look back. Hold out for the 'one' - it will happen!!! I didn't think it would happen for me and it finally did.
Good luck!

I had a similar situation and narrowed it down to 2 in the same store. I went back, 3x..thought the woman was going to kill me, but I was like screw it, its my biggest decision! I would go back, try all of them on again (in the same day if you can) and twirl around, feel the weight of the dress, see yourself in your mind as being the big day and take it from there. You're not alone, I swear, but its definitely hard!!!

Re: Bridal Gown issues.....
I really didn't get 'the one' feeling either. I had the hardest time trying to figure out which one to buy. I ended up getting the one everyone else said looks good on me. The one I had a stronger 'feeling' for, everyone else (that only being MOH & mom) said it was a bit too plain. I also approached it from the standpoint that it is only one day and I need not make the decision more difficult than it already was.
Good luck to you.

I would go with someone close to you, like your mom or best friend and ask for their opinion. I never had the 'OMG this is it' moment either, but when my mom and MOH started gushing about one of the dresses i narrowed it down to, that was the one I chose.

Re: Bridal Gown issues.....
My mom told me something I found useful when dress shopping: you should wear the dress, the dress should not wear you. If you feel like the dress is weighing you down, it's not the right one.

Re: Bridal Gown issues.....
I was also debating between a few dresses. Wait a little while before trying them on again and see which one you think of most, which one do you look at the pics the most, etc. Then go back in 2-3 weeks and see if you still feel the same way. I never had a huge, gushing, 'The One' moment, but after thinking about a gown for awhile and still loving it a few weeks later, I just knew. I also brought my mom, aunt, grandma and sister and they were in agreement. That confirmed it!
Good luck!!

Re: Bridal Gown issues.....
I thought I had found the dress when I went with my friends to helens but then my mom came with me and said why dont we look someplace else too and if you dont find a dress there we will come back for this one. Well I did go and my mom of all people who has so much different taste then me found my dress. It was amazing the only dress that came in petite too. I just had a feeling when i put it on this is the one.

I had the same problem. I had 3 dresses I like, but I wasn't getting the feeling everyone kept talking about. I was at Commack wedding center and the woman kept insisting I try on this dress. It was nothing like anything else I was going for and I immediately new it was 'the one'. I had that feeling in my stomach. I would say keep looking and maybe try something a little different than what you've been trying.

Re: Bridal Gown issues.....
For me the choice was clear. I found 'the one' during my first dress shopping trip, although I didn't get it on that outing, b/c I felt that it was premature...like I needed to continue looking. I couldn't get this dress out of my head though. I cried the first time I put it on b/c sa I looked at myself in the mirror, I could feel myself walking down the aisle (this probably sounds ridiculous) After visiting an additional 4 stores I returned to the store where I found 'the one', tried it on again just to make sure, started getting teary-eyed, and bought it....My dress is very important to me, so I didn't want to settle...If you feel this way, you'll know when you've found 'the one'
