BRIDAL GOWN SHOPPING- WHERE SHOULD I GO?

Hi all,

I posted this in the '07 board but it will def. do some good here.
I am looking to go bridal gown shopping this sunday and I need some salon suggestions.
My budget is $2000 therefore, I think Bridal Reflections is out of the question....
Please list some shops that fit my range and wont give me an attitude or feel make me worthless( i've heard stories.. )

I am checking out Macys in Manhasset this Sunday
where else should i go? ( nothing in Suffolk please)

Thanks in advance!!!

I got my dress at Adrienne's (Islip) for $1100. So far it's been a great experience. They've been so accommodating. When I went in there I told them my budget was $1500 and they showed me great stuff in my price range.

Lillette's (Baldwin) seems to have the most good reviews, I'd try them too.

Macy's was okay for me, but I felt the selection was limited.

Burton's prices are supposedly better than most.

Honestly, you can get most any gown from Phyllis at gownfind.com, probably for less than anyplace else. I got my BM dresses from her. Go to Bridal Reflections, find the dress you love, and call Phyllis for a quote.

Bridal Reflections in Massapequa is the more affordable one...I got my dress there and it wasn't anywhere near 2G...the salon in Carle Place is pricey.
I also recommend Adriennes in Islip and The Bridal Garden in Bethpage.

Good Luck

David's Bridal has a wonderful selection at great prices - just don't get alterations done there!

Fantasia Bridal in Rocky Point is AMAZING!!!! the seamstresses are renound, and they have a HUUUUUGE selection. They also match/beat prices so if you find your gown cheaper anywhere else they'll beat it....you also get discounts on all your BM dresses, tuxedos etc....THEY ARE AWESOME. Try to go when 'Little Marie' is there...she is fabulous :) Also, if you can go any night during the week (thursday is their late night i believe) it's very private (i think sunday afternoons tend to get busy). Definetly check them out!!!!

I went to Princess Bridal in Farmingdale. From the outside of the place it didn't look impressive but once you go in they have sooo many gowns for under $2000. They explained to me that they have gowns you will see in magazine but without the 'name' attached to it, and it's true. I found a lot of gowns i loved, now I just have to pick one.
The women there are awesome too.

Good Luck
