Elena Bridals in Merrick is awesome! It's a small store, but really great service and attention. Only one bride at a time has an appointment so they are all helping only you. Really sweet and not pushy at all!!!!

if u are in nassau, i would have to say lillettes- i've had an amazing experience with them. they dont pressure you into buying. they are very patient working with you- i spent 2 hours with them. it was great - we had fun.
I agree! i ordered my dress from lillette's as well and everyone was really great!

Re: Bridal gown stores
I just went to Bridal Reflections tonight and I have to say that I was really disappointed. 3 of my friends had the best experiences there but my saleslady seemed totally disinterested, she wasn't pulling out #'s of dresses for me to look at (i think I tried on 5 or 6) and she didn't really seem to help me pick out dresses that would look good on my figure. I don't know...I was late to my appointment b/c of traffic so maybe that limited her but she kept pushing one designer on me and didn't even take out any other designer's dresses. My saleslady wasn't snobby or anything, she was very nice, but overall, I did not have a good experience there.

I have only been to 2 places so far but Lidia's in Copiague was fantastic. It doesn't look like much but the store is beautiful inside. Definitely go check it out. She had really good prices too.
Agreed!!! I'm going to Princess Bridals tonight...I'll let you all know how it is...I've read a few negatives, but they have a large selection...so I'm giving it a try.

me too - and FSIL got her dress there and had no problems whatsoever.
if you go to Adriennes, ask for Sophia. The dress she picked for me i didnt think I would like, and it ended up being the one - I serously had five dresses she pulled for me that I LOVED. I went to bridal reflections and left in disgust - the lady had NO IDEA what would look good on me!
it all depends on who you get to help you, imo

Re: Bridal gown stores
I bought mine at Macy's bridal salon in Manhasset. But they only carry Demetrios line, so if you don't like his stuff they aren't the place to go. If you do like Demetrios, however, they are fantastic!!!

Re: Bridal gown stores
I highly recommend Lillette's....after a few not so great experiences in other shops. They spent multiple hours with me on two different shopping days and even when I was annoyed at myself for being so indecisive, they maintained their patience and understanding. The woman I dealt with for my alterations was amazing as well. It was an hour drive each way to get their from my parents house on LI (i live in NJ) but worth it every time!!!! I'm so glad I found them as a result of this site! Good luck and happy shopping!

When I was buying my gown they were helpful, it was after the fact...and I wish I could say it was a one in a million chance BUT the same time I was having issues there were other brides in there having the same issues. I wish you all the luck though and hope that they have changed!
