I am looking to have my wedding gown made into my daughters baptism gown. Have any of you done this or could recommend a good dress maker who could do this for me. Thanks so much

Re: Bridal Gown to Baptism Gown
I know an 06er who did this for her daughter, SweetCin704. She isn't on LIW much anymore but she's on LIF. I'll send her an FM to look over here and hopefully she'll be able to help you out.

Re: Bridal Gown to Baptism Gown
My mom just had receiving blankets for my niece's christening made out of her wedding dress, but the place does gowns too! 2 Be Seen, in Syosset. My mom was VERY impressed with their work!! She just picked up the blankets this morning!!

My girlfriend did that for her daughter and it came our beautifully. Her mother and her mothers friend did it and she no longer lives here, im sure if U find the right person you'll have no problem.

Re: Bridal Gown to Baptism Gown
I love this idea. My mother's communion dress was made from her grandmothers underpinnings of her wedding gown (gorgeous eyelet lace). It's an heirloom to be reckoned with.
