I was reading a bridal magazine that randomly shipped to my house and I came across a really interesting idea. There was an article on how to save some money and one of them was a labor swap. You make an agreement with another bride to swap help at each others wedding.
For example ... I wanted to hire someone to go to my RH and set up my centerpieces, seating card table and favors, maybe some other random things. If someone wanted to help me out I would then be available to help with their wedding with whatever they would need.
The article posted two websites but I didn't really like them so I figured maybe I would bring it up to all the lovely LIW girls to see if it is something people would be interested in. I personally would trust my wedding setup more with someone who knew how important it was for the wedding to be as beautiful as it can be than leave it in the hands of the staff at the RH who won't give a crap on how things look. Plus you save money! So if anyone is interested please let me know.

i'd do it lol. i think its a great idea as long as you know the person is trustworthy and wont flake out.

I think it's a really great idea. I'd be into it, but I think a key element here would be for two brides with months in between their weddings to swap dates. Seems like the month or so prior to a wedding is waaaaaay hectic...so someone with a September wedding shouldn't switch with someone with an October one, know what I mean? The October girl setting up for a September wedding is right in the midst of 'OMFG I HAVE SO MUCH TO DO FOR MY OWN WEDDING RIGHT NOW!' Just a thought.
