When I was on LI for Father's Day this weekend, my parents and i went out east and my mom took me to a lingerie store, she has been dying to buy me a my bridal lingerie- which is called something with a P that I dont know how to spell
I have been to a few places and didnt find anything i loved, WELL until this sunday! It is called Cottage Rose, it is right near the Lobster Roll-
OMG- i chose the most beautiful lingerie...it is so so pretty! It is an expensive shop, but they have amazing stuff- and very different!
so- I got the one i loved! NO PICS cause my mom is saving it for the shower- she just wanted to make sure it fit and i loved it
thought i would share the store name since a few people were looking for shops!

Re: Bridal Lingerie
Pegnoir (pronounced 'pen-wah') is the word you are thinking of.

Re: Bridal Lingerie
Glad I could help. I remember when my sister got married in 1990, my mom took her for what she called her TROUSSEAU which, according to the online dictionary, is: 'the personal possessions of a bride usually including clothes, accessories, and household linens and wares'. Basically, she hooked her up with lingerie up the wazoo. A pegnoir is generally a silky/satiny night gown. I remember being a little girl and always wanting high heeled fuzzy slipers. Maybe I can get some now!!!
