Bridal Magazines

Having recently gotten engaged, I'm all enthused about running out & grabbing some wedding magazines.

I wanted to know which magazines you found the most informative...

Honestly IMO they are fun to look at but I really don't get a wealth of info from them except for pictures and stuff But definetely buy them...they can give you pics of dresses and flowers and stuff

I like Brides magazine.

I also found these magazines helpful too:
- The Knot magazine
- Wedding Sites and Services (I liked this one better than Locations magazine)
- Wedding Flowers (its a British magazine and it has so many types of flowers and bouquets)

I found that the magazine Contemporary Bride was the most useful for me. I received a copy when I went to a bridal expo

They all have something to offer. My fiancee like Brides and Martha Stewart the best.

It doesn't stop her from sending me out or if I'm at the store from getting them.

Just go to Costco or BJ's and get Post-it's now. Or tear out the pages and keep them in a folder. I've been writing down the info and websites of the vendors and keep a Wedding Folder in my Favorites in IE.

Don't worry about getting rid of them you can always find someone.

After a while some of the things become redundant but there always is that little one thing we manage to see that we might use. You never know.

I buy all of them, and many of them feature the same types of stories and content, but I still like flipping through them for ideas. My favorite sections in the magazines are the photos of real weddings.

InStyle Weddings.. I LOVE IT! I'm totally copying a few things I found in the last few issues... the dress I want is from one issue 3 years ago! But they don't make it anymore... bummer. Copying a cake from another issue... Found my favors.. lol I'm addicted to it!

I also love Martha Stewart Weddings...

Oh, and I am also a fan of Southern Living magazine.. and they come out with a Southern Living Weddings edition I think two times a year... I know I live in New York, but the idea of a Southern wedding.. so pretty!
