I'm sorry I don't know the place you are talking about. I know there is a really nice store that sells tiaras in the garden state plaza mall. (Not sure if that's too far for you) HTH

found this when i googled it...

A Lower East Side Street (I forget which) was said to have so many wedding shops that it was called 'Bridal Row.' That name doesn't seem to come up in the digitized New York Times database.

It's been said that New Utrecht Avenue in Brooklyn is 'Wedding Row.' The 2005 departure of Kleinfeld's from Bay Ridge was widely reported in May 2005 as a blow to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn's 'Bridal Row.'

hope that helps

a more detailed idea of where it is.. this is an old article i think.. but it gives an address to one of the stores...

The new 1,800-square-foot store, at 8211 Fifth Ave. opposite Kleinfeld Bridal, is slated to open Oct. 15 with a full assortment of wedding-related jewelry, a bridal registry and Michael C. Fina's new private-label collection, which makes its debut in the fall.

good luck! :)

Yes, I live in Bay Ridge and it was known as the 'bridal district' when Kleinfelds was there. Now there are still some bridal shops but not nearly as many as there once was. I know Sposabella is still there, and they are pretty popular for headpieces and other accessories.
If you are interesed, you would need to take the R train to 86th Street and most of the shops are in the low 80s on 5th avenue.
As an added bonus, there is a Century 21 right there!!!

I don’t know anything much about Brooklyn, but I can tell you there’s a ton of wedding stuff in Chinatown. I used to live in the East Village and I remember taking the bus right through just tons of stores. Never went into any of them, so I can’t say about their quality or anything.

My aunt looked for a dress in China town and they kept bringing her those china doll dresses i wouldnt recommend going there., they push you to buy nasty things.
