bridal party

so has anyone asked people to be in there bridal party yet?

I havent done it officially................but AC Moore had a sale today and I went nuts! Ibought mini scrapbooks and am thinking about asking my four bridesmaids that way (officially)?

no, not really.
I've mentioned to my sister that I want her to be my Matron of Honor. We've also mentioned to our other friends that we want them to be bridesmaids or groomsmen but we have not done anything official yet. I'll probably wait a while...you never know what could happen in 2 years.

i did! mine is mainly family and my closest friends who i have been friends with for years. I used greeting cards to ask them.

I asked everyone the day I got engaged...I knew who I wanted without giving it a second thought! I wish I would've done cute 'will you be my bridesmaid?' cards to them but oh well

oooh the scrapbooks are SUCH a good idea!!!

My girls all basically knew what their roles are...

my MOH has been my best friend since we were five so she was pretty much a shoe-in since my sister passed away a long time ago..

then my other best friend knew she was a bridesmaid since even before we were both engaged we decided we would both be in each others bridal parties (shes getting married in february 08)

and then my FSIL and i are very close so of course i would want her to be in mine... she was also engaged (she isnt anymore, but thats a good thing because he was starting to abuse her), so she was the last choice...

we have a small bridal party... he has a best man and 2 ushers and i have a MOH and 2 brides maids. i always belived in the KISS method... keep it simple, stupid. lol.

I am going to give out cards at my engagement party in september... hopefully .. If FH ever tells me who he decided on having for the best man!!!!!!!!!!!!! But that idea sounds cute with the scrapbooks its very personal !!

I asked my Maids of Honor and my Matrons, but have not offically asked my bridesmaids, but have mentioned unoffically.

I plan on sending them all little cards to ask them... i like the idea of making them myself.... I plan on sending them in two weeks.

I asked my sister already to be my maid of honor, my two cousins who I am very close with and my best friend to be my brides maids. Also asked my best friend if her daughter could be my flower girl. I did all this the day after I got engaged. My FH ask all of his grooms men and his best man before he even asked me to marry him. He was really excited and could not wait. I wish we both did something more personal. Do you think we could even though we already asked everyone?
