Fh asked his friends/family to be in his bridal party before we even talked about it
he has 7 groomsmen and I have 5 bridesmaids... i dont care about it not being even...
anyway... i really want my two brothers in our party but FH isnt really close with either and feels that 9 groomsmen would be too many, especially since i only have 5 bridesmaids.
1. do you think 9 groomsmen and 5 bridesmaids will look redic???
2. should i just make him add them???
3. or what other ways can they be part of our wedding????
Make him add them. He asked people without asking you, besides, My FH is sister is in it and I am not close with her its both our wedding so I am fine with it...

Make him add them.
1st he should have asked you 2nd, you dont have to have them walk down as couples, the guys can stand their waiting and then have the girls walk down by themselves. The church is really the only time you'll notice the #.
def make him add them.. they are family!

Re: Bridal Party
Out of respect I asked FH sister and he asked my cousin...I just think it's the right thing to do...
Best Man: his brother in law Matron of Honor: my friend
Groomsmen: my 2 brothers, and my matron of honors husband
Bridesmaids: My 2 girlfriends and his sister

Re: Bridal Party
I agree that he shouldn't have decided without asking you and you should have your brothers in the bridal party if YOU are close with them. Make him add them in.
Are you having any girls that come from his side (either his family or friends)??

Re: Bridal Party
I think if you want your brothers in the bridal party they he has to have them. It will be perfect, almost two to 1. I think there is something in Emily Posts wedding etiquette guide about that. FH made sure to show me that one to make sure I would ask FSIL to be in the bridal party (even though I already was)

Re: Bridal Party
I think you need to talk to him about it. If it's REALLY important that your brothers be in it...then he should understand. I didnt want to include FH's sister and he said he didnt care...so she's not in it. But if he felt REALLY strong about it...I would have given in

Re: Bridal Party
i think that the bridal party should consist of important people to BOTH the bride and groom... not just the groom picks the GM and the bride picks the BM. we sat down together and decided on OUR bridal party. he has my brother and brother in law in his and i have his cousin in mine..
i would have your brothers in it if it means a lot to you, even though hes not that close with them. IMHO.
