Bridal Party

Bridal Party

I have always thought a large wedding party would be fun. I currently have 6 girls in my wedding party- but I was thinking about including fh's two younger cousins as junior bridesmaids. Currently I don't have any of his family in my bridal party (he doesn't have anyone our age in his family that he is close to).

Should I include them as j. bridesmaids? My bachelorette party is going to be an 'adult' function- how else can they be included in the wedding besides at the bridal shower?

Fh has been really supportive and not 'told me' who to include/not to include in the wedding party. He didn't ask my sister's boyfriend (they have been together for 4-5 years- and he and fh are quite friendly)

Should I suggest he ask my sister's boyfriend to be included as a groomsman? What would you do?

Thanks for your help!!

its completely up to you about inviting the girls, I think you should think about who you want there on the morning of your wedding. As for including boyfriends and girlfriends I would stay away from that.

It's up to you I think if you want the Jr. Bridesmaids there - if you really want them to be standing next to you on your day, then go for it. I'm sure there's ways you can still include them in things even if it's an adult function.

As far as your FH - I think it's only fair that he be the one to decide who's standing next to him on that day. FH had total say in choosing his groomsman and same to me with my girls.

Definately up to for which girls you choose to be in your BP. They don't have to participate in the 'adult functions' but if you want them to be party they can be. Just because they are bf & gf for 4-5 years doesn't mean they may or may not still be together the time of the wedding making the situation kind of awkward..

Big bridal parties suck, i have one, and its all FH's fault, but Jr bridesmaids? No, i wouldnt invite them to the bachelorette party or ever have jr bridesmaid but JMO if u think it will be cute then do it.

I agree with you guys- thanks for the advice
I will stay away from the whole b/f g/f thing

I am starting to think about the junior bridesmaids thing- maybe I'll pass - I do have 6 girls already

Now I just have to figure out how to get all the girls fitted for their dresses ..... another question/post to come

Re: Bridal Party

I have HUGE bridal party. I'm not sure how I feel about it good or bad but I can't imagine taking someone out.

I'm having a bunch of JBM and FGs....I will literally having a whole kiddie court it seems like. I am not going to invite them to any 'adult' functions but I think I might do a seperate lunch and broadway show or maybe lunch and mani/pedi....something like that with them and their moms. (My BM's dont have to go to both)

As for the boyfriend I say nice gesture but not necessary. I am trying to get FH to not have his BIL bc I want it to be family only and close friends. I'd rather have his sister than his sister's husband. It's happened in my family before where even though the relationship is stable now....there has been a divorce and now that person is in all of your pics.
