My FI is from NJ so most of the guys in the Bridal Party are too. Our ceremony is at 11:30 AM and we are taking pictures before, so everyone needs to be ready pretty early.
I was planning on paying for hotel accomodations for all 6 of them for the night before, but alot of people are telling me that I don't have to do this. I still feel like I shoud.
What do you think?

No you don't have to pay for it- although if you can afford it, it's a very nice offer.

You are not required to pay but if you want to, it is very generous and I am sure they would really appreciate it.

That would be very generous of you! I'm sure that they would love it...but not expect it.

Re: Bridal Party Accomodations
I paid for my BP to stay in the hotel the night before but I didn't get 5 seperate rooms. I had 2 girls in one room and my 2 MOHs with me in the Bridal Suite.
It's a nice gesture but certainly not mandatory and I doubt they'd expect it.

I'm on the same boat as all of FH's buddies are from Jersey...and we will not be paying for them! Just can't do it! I don't think you should fell obligated to do so either! JMO

Wow, that's really nice of you. All of our BP -- not to mention us and FILs -- are from out of town, but we're not paying for anyone. Just too expensive. Besides I've never been to a wedding I've been in where the bride and groom have paid my accommodations. You should not feel obligated.

Re: Bridal Party Accomodations
We too have 7 BP people who live in NJ. As much as i would like to pay for the hotel for the two nights. there is no way we can afford this. I shopped around and got the lowest rates i could for them. they are going to have to pay for this themselves. one of them is getting married this summer and we have to stay at a hotel 2 nights as well since FH is in the wedding. This is something that is expected when they asked him and when we asked them. if you can't afford it i wouldn't worry about it. it's not something people expect you to do.

Re: Bridal Party Accomodations
If you can afford it, go for it. I can't do it for my BP, and they are all from out of state...so instead I picked inexpensive dresses, let them pick their shoes, and paid for their hair and make-up. You definitely don't have to pay for their accomodations, but it's a nice thing to do
