Bridal Party Ettiqette

Bridal Party Ettiqette

Ok, question... is it wrong or bad to give my bridal party a cute printed card of their anticipated duties? Something cute, NOT demading, more like suggestive. I am anticipating on giving this to them along with a small thank you gift at our engagement party. What do you guys think of this? It'll be the first wedding for 3 of the 5 girls in the bridal party. Thanks!

honestly, I think I would be a little offended if someone gaev me a card saying what my 'duties' were, no matter how cute it is...

What kind of 'duties' do you plan on letting them in on? the only duties my girls hacve are to get dresses, shoes and show up!! LOL...I am not really requiring anything of them, I want them there for me no matter what and do not expect anything out of them, I asked them because I love them, not because I wanted to put them to work.

It all depends on how you do it. (You could also try doing a bridesmaid newsletter.)

I have 2 BMs. One has been in 3-4 weddings already. She knows the drill.

My sister has never been in a wedding and she is the MOH. I found this really cute book at Barnes and Noble when FH and I were killing time there. (Can't remember the name off hand.) I almost didn't give it to her because I didn't want to insult her or come off as a Bridezilla. But she ended up absolutely loving the book. I told when I gave it to her that she would have to pass it back to me when her turn came around.

Thanks for your feedback. I guess what I was really thinking about was like a friendship poem and then something like 'what a bridemaid is to me'. Not really spelle dout duties per say, but I guess kind of like a save-the-date-friendship-card thing.

I actually did send out a bridesmaid news letters to give the girls a heads up about dresses, fittings, rehearsal diner, etc...

I think it's a good idea, especially for those girls who haven't been in a bridal party before. One of my BMs really didn't know what was expected of her money-wise, so I think it's good to let them know. Maybe you could phrase it in a way that wouldn't offend the other 2 who've been in BPs before by saying that it's to benefit the newbies
