Does the bridal party usually give a group gift at the shower or individual? Just wondering.

usually bp gifts are individual, at my shower they each did their own thing.
but I have been part of group gifts. For my one friend the BP got together and got her extra romance package for Sandles.
My favorite idea I have ever heard of is where each member of the bridal party gets a holiday and creates a basket of holiday decorations, towels, soaps, etc. Its such a cute idea and everyone does it themselves yet it all goes together. Like you could do Christmas, 4th of July, Halloween, Easter, St. Patricks Day, Birthday... etc. But you need a year to plan this.

there seems to be no rule about this... fsil is fighting my other bms about the 'tradition of a group gift' but I dont have anything for 9 people to chip in and get me, so they r doing individual gifts...or smaller group gifts

I think it depends on the BP. I've been in two weddings these past 2 years and the first one the BP all chipped in and gave her a gift from all of us, the second wedding everyone in the BP did their own gifts. My girls gave separate gifts. It's more a preference then a rule.

It depends on the bridal party. It's also hard for a bunch of girls to agree on one gift and the amount the can and want to spend.

It all depends. I've been a BM where we've all chipped in and I've been a BM where we all put individual gifts.

Depends on your friends..my girls gave individual gifts. For my cousin we gave a group gift.

My girls gave a group gift but my MOH and my best friend also gave an additional gift. At most showers I have attended the bridal party gave a group gift.
