What is the average amount you should spend per bridesmaid on their gift?

I think it all depends on your situation. We had a rather large bridal party so we set the limit at $50 per person. Wish I could've spent more but I couldn't! We had a total of 20 people in the bridal party (including the kids). I did spend more on the MOH and BM. We got our MOH (my sis) a $300 necklace and the BM a $175 watch!

We're doing about 50 dollars a person, except for the MOH and Best Man who are getting a few little extras. I wish I could spend more on them, but I'm also considering paying for the girls to get their hair done on the day of, so that will be my other gift to them.

I'll probably do about $50-$100, I might just payfor them to get their nails/hair/makeup done as part of their gift.

I only have 3 girls.... so we are paying for their hair/makeup, jewelry, and I made them tanks that say bridesmaid and MOH, got them flip flops to change into that match their dress, their nail polish, a picture frame of the 4 of us from my shower... and I think that's it??? Oh, and a hotel room the night before the wedding so they will wake up on the grounds of the wedding and be ready for hair/makeup... so we spent a lot (maybe a little over $300 on each??) and I think we are getting the the best man and the GM a portable dvd player....
