Bridal Party Gifts: how much $$$?

I was wondering what everyone is spending on the gifts for their bridal party? Also, any suggestions (for both) would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

I spent 55 on my girls (Tiffany's mesh silver earrings) and 70 on the guys (Ale in the Mail for 3 months).

Good luck!

Do you have contact info for Ale in the Mail?
Is it a website? I was thinking of doing that for my gms.

We are thinking of giving microbrew baskets for the groomsmen. http://www.beerbymail.com/orderform15.htm
A three month subscription is about $89

I got my maid of honor crystal earrings for about $45 dollars and I got my bridesmaides flower earrings with a little pearl for about $40. You can go to Macys, they have very nice jewelry.

I am doing monogrammed robes from Gap Body for my BM's and MOH. (Still need to think of a little something extra to add for my MOH). For the guys...nice pens with platnium in a leather case with monogram. The robes w/monogram were about $60 and $50 for the pens.

ddune: Did you get the robes from Gap online and have them monogrammed yourself? (Thats what Im doing since I didn't think Gap had monogramming). Which color did you get?

Re: Nicole

I actually bought the robes at the GapBody store. The ones I got were the lighter terry ones that they show online in a beige color. In the stores, they were carrying them in pink, blue and white also. I have 4 BM's and decided on two white and two beige. I had the monogramming done separate and did a deep red monogram, which is my main color for the wedding (dresses, flowers). I actually live in Texas now, so I won't bother recommending the place that did my monograms! I spoke with the girl at the gap about their stock since I had a whirlwind time going from store to store finding sizes I needed, and they will be having more styles come in for the fall/winter in the thicker terry. But I personally went with the lighter one since 2 of my BM's live in Texas. But for monogramming on LI...look in the yellow pages under embroidery and go directly to a place that does embroidery. It should save you $$$ versus going to Bloomies, or Fortunoffs, etc.

Re: Nicole

I know exactly what robes your talking about, saw them in the store a few times.

I ended up with the thicker ones online in dark red and they are really great.

Re: Nicole

I got the same robes as SonicStef, except for in pale pink. I am going to get them monogrammed. Plus getting each of them bubble bath and a scented candle. My Maid of Honor (my sister) is also getting a butterfly hair pin (for her bouquet) and a collector plate about how much I love my sister. My matron of honor is also getting a pair of earrings.
Guys- some monogramed travel golf bags. some ?

Am I getting enough?

I'm getting my girls earings and a bracelet (about $30 each) and then a manicure and pedicure the day before. For the girls who can't make it the day before, I'm giving them a gift certificate to get the manicure and pedicure. I thought this was fine, but so many of you are spending so much more! I never received such great gifts in the past few weddings I've been in. You all have such great ideas!

i bought my MOH diamond earrings in white gold-very small-but pretty $200.
I am also getting her & the rest of the girls a 1 hour massage, manicure & pedicure ($50 each) the day before the wedding and dont know what else yet. As for the guys I have no clue and if i ask FH, he has no clue and will get their gifts at the last minute.

Idea for the guys

I got the groomsmen duffle bags from LL Bean. They come in all different sizes and are monogrammable. They also have travel bags for their toiletries. Go to LLBean.com

You all have such wonderful ideas, I thought I HAD to give a piece of jewelry. But I already have a collection of BM jewelry that I might not wear again. So I was looking for something different. I LOVE THE ROBES IDEA! I already got my 2 MOH's a necklace. (175$ each, but...), luckily I got a sale on them. If I give them robes as well they will be done. Are the robes enough for the BM's?

I bought my BMs Elsa Peretti heart necklaces from Tiffany - $80 and took them for a message the day before the wedding...

for GM we bought a bottle of nice scotch (we were able to get johnnie walker gold for the price of johnnie walker blue $40 at costco - so we were happy, b/c we thought they would be like $75) and a poker set (they love getting together to play poker and drink scotch) $18 at Pearls Art Supplies...

Re: Bridal Party Gifts: how much $$$?

I got my girls pearl earnings with diamonds underneath the pearl - real pretty and a picture frame with an IOU! My MOH got these (with a nicer frame) plus a Coach bag. The guys got coach wallets and a bottle of liquor (that suits them) and the BM got a Coach planner and a Coach frame with an IOU. We gave our flower girl a Madame Alexander flower girl collectible doll and a bride Barbie! Our ring bearer got a lionel train set. We spent about $70 each on the kids, $120 on the girls and guys and almost $200 on the MOH and the BM! All are family and really close and have done so much for us, so I didn't mind the money!
