My bridesmaids are great and are open to whatever I want them to wear for the wedding, including their hair and makeup.
I have already found a hair stylist and make up artist for myself. Should I also pay for my bridesmaids or do they pay for this themselves if they choose to use my vendors? Not sure what to do here.. the make up is 85/pp and the hair the price depends on what they're going to have done. To be honest I'm more interested in how their hair looks vs the make up....

I haven't made my decisions about paying for the makeup and hair for my girls so I'll answer based on my experiences as a bridesmaid. One bride paid for my makeup and I took care of the hair myself and for the other wedding I was in, I paid for everything myself. It's all based on what you can afford. I'm sure your girls will understand. If the hair style is important to you, probably you can cover that and have the makeup optional for the girls. $85 is a great price for the make up and I'm sure they will love to have it done professionally.

My BM will be responsible for paying for their own hair and makeup. I purchased expensive gifts for them and it was just too much to take on that as well. If you want, tell them you would prefer them to get their hair done and give them the price if you see that the girls aren't interested because it is too much money then perhaps you can say you would prefer their hair a certain way that way there is uniformity.

I also have hair & makeup people coming to my home the morning of the wedding. Only three out of seven of my girls are getting it done with me at my house. I covered my MOH's hair, but the girls will be paying for it themselves.
I told them about it as an option, like 'If you want you can come to my house and get it done, but since some of you live further away it might be easier to go to whichever salon you prefer and just be at my house at 11AM' I didn't want to require them to get their hair and make-up done, but I tried to suggest it.

my girls are paying for their own hair/makeup.. I am only requiring they get their hair done, and if they want to do their own makeup that is fine with me. I will cover the tip for the hair/makeup for the group and I got them jewelery, makeup, and cosmetic cases as their gifts

Three of my four bridesmaids are coming to NY from out of country, so I was thinking I'll pay for their hair and makeup as a gesture of thanks. However, it is entirely up to you. If you want to pay for part/all of their hair and makeup, that could be a nice gift. A lot of bridesmaids wouldn't expect you to do so though, and they would pay for themselves. Whatever you want to do..

I am a fashion photographer and I use her for my clients. she is amazing; she also does my hair on a regular basis. She will also be doing my hair and makeup for my wedding.

I also only have my MOH and 2 BM's. I had intended to pay for their hair and makeup, but now I'm thinking of giving them the choice. I don't want to force them to use the hair and makeup people I'm using. If I need to meet a minimum, I can always pay to have my mom, grandma, and flower girl's hair and makeup done instead.

Since I'm only buying my bridesmaids they're DOJ, I'll be paying for a portion of their hair and makeup. Any gift I ever recieved as a bridesmaid was usually something I didn't need or ended up tossing. Shhh! lol

I will probably have them pay for their own hair and makeup. I did not factor their makeup/hair into the budget but will ask whoever I book to offer a reduced rate to them. I was recently a BM where the bride paid for our eye makeup only and i was fine with that. Guess it is up to whatever you are comfortable with financially

Thank you ladies. I'm sorry I'm late to reply, I travel a lot with work and I just returned to NY. I really appreciate your input. My bridesmaids and I are meeting this Sat. to start dress shopping and I might bring it up then so we can discuss it.

My BM are paying for themselves. I have a large BP, and two of them are doing their make-up on their own so I'm getting them gifts instead. I've been in a few weddings and I've always paid for myself.
