We are going the day before for a girly day of manicures, pedicures & massages, but no luncheon.

Technically, you are supposed to do it - or do something for them. However, neither of my GF's who previously got married did it. My SIL had a brunch right before the wedding (it was an evening wedding) when all the girls were together. It was an absolute blast and a good way to relax before getting dressed.

You can invite the girls over for brunch, or have a wine and cheese party with the gilrs at home. Thats what Im doing, going to invite the girls over on a Fri or Sat, kick fiance out and have drinnks and finger foods. Just a little thank you.

My sister and I just had a spa day a couple of weeks before the wedding, not an official luncheon. We eat out all the time, so this was more of a treat.

We are ordering the BM dresses next month since all of my girls will be in town the same week (one lives in CA and I live in DC) I am having them over to my mom's house for lunch and ordered gourmet sandwiches and appetizers to be delivered. I am also having wine & yummy pastries. My flower girl is invited too.


I can't afford to take them out to eat let alone host a BM lunch so I thought this was a nice alternative.

Of all the weddings I've been in, this has never been done. So when it was brought up to me, I was clueless about it. I'm thinking of doing something along the lines of JennBaby I think that's a nice idea.

Lizlen, I have a large bridal party as well. I know how you feel! I'm afraid when the time comes to buy the gifts!

Liz , why don't you do something informal at at your home - i.e. drinks and appetizers. If I were in your position I would host A GTG at my home make a few dishes, blend some maragaritas and have a good time with your girls. It would be fun, or try JennBaby's idea of a girly day.

Let us know what you decide.

You dont HAVE to do anything. I did one for my BMs because I wanted to thank them and have one final fun afternoon to bond before the wedding. I took them to a Broadway show and had cheese and wine at my house.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions and ideas
I think I'll do the informal GTG at my house w/appetizers and drinks as suggested.
That should be a lot of fun.
