Bridal Party Luncheons?

Has anyone or is anyone hosting one? Any ideas?

Funny I was thinking of hosting a dinner party at my house for my bridesmaids....It would give everyone an opportunity to kind of mingle and talk being that not everyone is friends. Is that what you were going to do?

I want to do something like this. Call it maybe a bridesmaid night out, just cook, watch a movie do some wedding stuff get a couple of bottles.
My problem is that 4 out of my 8 bridesmaids live out of town so I dont want the others to feel left out

I was thinking about it, but it's going to be hard to wrangle all my girls together in the next 2 months. I took them all out to lunch the first time we went looking for dresses, so I guess that counts. Haha.

I did something similar... I had a Mary Kay party and we all got pampered and did makeup and got to know each other that way :) It was a really nice time!!!

Most of my bridal party knows eachother, but I still wanted to do something with them. So I made sure I gave them all enough time (like 3 weeks notice) and I invited them over to my apt (FH was gone for the night) and I had drinks and snacks and I made up cute little tote bags with MOH and BM engraved, and handed them out...the girls didnt want to leave!! They were there for hours just talking and having a great time

I actually did it this past weekend for my BMs. I wanted to thank them for my shower and bachelorette party (in Miami) so I had a BBQ in my parents backyard. I grilled and made margaritas, daiquiris and pina coladas. It was a really nice time, and I was good for me it kinda gave me a chance to chill (even though I was the host) and kick it before the madness really began.

Also I gave them their gifts and it was a nice and intimate. There was alot of crying and 'Oh my God I can't believe your getting married!'.

I plan on doing the same... Hopefully setting something up where all the girls come over. I'll make some food and drinks and we can all just hang out. But if you give them their gifts now, what do you give them at the rehearsal dinner? Is there something that I can give them now?

I'm doing that. I'm going to take them all out to dinner so we can talk, have fun. we're doing it on Wednesday before the wedding on Friday.

Did most of you do this closer to the wedding date? I am not getting married till Sept of 08 but was thinking of maybe doing something small now and then closer to the wedding having them over again. At the rehersal dinner we would give out their gifts so the boys could get theirs gifts too.

That's what I am doing. Having something small now and then something else around the wedding time

That website that the girl above listed for the invites is really cute, I am going to use it to invite the girls...

That's what I plan on doing... Going to have something small now (just the girls) and then something with everyone in the bridal party, closer to the wedding.

Should I give them a present now also? I planned on giving them their presents at the rehearsal dinner.

Is an evite invitation too impersonal? They have cute party invitations and they are free!

I would figure this would be good to do since I'm not having a rehearsal dinner.
