So I haven't decided on my final bridal party yet, but my FH decided on his and wants his two brothers as his best man, and then three other groomsmen for a total of 5. I wanted to have 5 bridesmaids, and then my 1 MOH. The only problem is, if his two BM stand up on the alter with him, there will only be three groomsmen to walk my 5 bridesmaids down the aisle. Would it be weird if the two BM joined in the procession then stood up with my FH? Any ideas would be helpful, i'm clueless, thanks!

Re: Bridal Party question
1. Don't listen to anyone who says 'You can't do that' or 'I don't like that'. You'll drive yourself NUTS!
2. I had a weird set up for the BP. I had an even amount but I had 2 MOH's, 5 BMs, 1 best man, and 6 GMs. What I decided to do was I had my girls walk down the aisle by themselves and the GM just stood up front with DH. For the reception, I paired everyone up but had my little sister walk in with 2 GMs, and the best man walked in with the 2 MOHs.
Another idea if you don't want them to walk alone is have the first GM walk down the aisle with a BM and then have him go up the side of the room (church or reception hall) and have him walk down the aisle with the last girl. It'll be in 2 pictures but no one will be walking alone.

Re: Bridal Party question
My friends BP was uneven and she had too many guys so the girls each walked down with one GM and then the remained GM walked down the grandmas.
If it were me I'd prob have the BM walk in with the girls and then they can join your FH after they walk in -- unless he really wants them there the whole time, I'm not sure if he cares.

Re: Bridal Party question
I always thought that the best man walks down the aisle with the rest of the BP.

Re: Bridal Party question
DH had his two brothers as best men, and my sister was my 1 MOH.
DH 1 GM, and I had 2 BMs
One of my BMs walked with the ring bearer (he was 1 so he needed some guidance). The other was escorted by the one GM. my MOH walked by herself in front of me.
I got many compliments on how I handled that, took me a while to get it together. HTH.

def this!!!
we have an uneven group and dont care...why stress over something so small?!?! you pick the people that mean the most to you to be part of your bridal party. you shouldnt exclude someone just bc you have an odd number nor should you ask someone to be part of the bp just to make it an even number. have 2 guys and a girl and then vice versa...

Re: Bridal Party question
It looks like you still have over a year til your wedding...one of my mistakes that I made was choosing my bridal party way in advance..I found myself drifting from one of my bridesmaids as the year progressed...dont stress yet, you may become close with someone in the next year or so that you would love to have in the bridal party, or even the opposite...you may not be as close with one or two of them as ur day gets closer...enjoy it and dont sweat just yet!!! :)

Re: Bridal Party question
We had a similar problem. 8 groomsmen and only 4 bridesmaids. We had the girls escorted by 2 guys! It worked out perfectly and looked super cute!

Re: Bridal Party question
keep in mind the MOH usually walks alone anyway
but you can always have one guy walk 2 girls down.

Re: Bridal Party question
mine is very uneven!! I'm having 9 while my FH is having 5 or 6! But, my MOH's are twins so they'll walk down together and I'll have another group double up or something!

Re: Bridal Party question
I was recently a bridesmaid in a wedding with an uneven party.
The bride had all the grooms men waiting at the front of the church with the groom, and the bridesmaids all did the processional our selves.
Then on the way back for the recessional, the first two bridesmaids walked back with the two groomsmen, and for the other 3 of us, our FH's were sitting in the 2nd row on the grooms side (next to the aisle in the same order the bridesmaids were) and as each of us reached that row our FH stood up to escort us back up the aisle.
of course if you do this you have to make sure the bridesmaids dates are very well dressed!
