Bridal Reflections

I think I remember somebody else posting something about the difference between carle place and massapequa but I can't find it... Anyway, I wanted to make some appts for this week and was wondering if there was a difference between the two? Is one better? Have more of a selection?

I went to the one in Massapequa and had a great experience; great selection and really nice, helpful staff. I was going to make an appointment with the one in Carle Place, but they wanted a credit card number. If you don't keep your appointment there's a fee apparantly. That turned me off b/c I never heard of that before and I never made the appointment.

Each of the three stores have mainly the same designers (few differences) but its the collection of each that differs, therefore making a difference in price. Masspequa is the lowest then CP then NYC.

FYI - A lot of stores require a CC # when making appointments now a days, it prevents people from flaking out of them. Even restaurants do that now.

In CP the dresses start at around $1800.

ETA: About the CC #...I was a little annoyed until they explained it to me. The woman said that they were having a problem where they were booked solid with girls on waiting lists trying to get in earlier and then a lot of the girls were no call/no show which really put them in a lurch, so they started asking for CC #'s...as long as you call in advance to cancel they wouldn't charge you.

Honestly I'm glad I made an appt anyway because I found my dress at CP!

I went to the one in Mass & they told me the Carle Place one had more of what I was looking for & a wider selection of dresses. Yes, CP requires a credit card # but so do a lot of other salons I've been to. It's fine unless you just don't show up to your appt, then they charge u $50. I will be at the CP one next Sat. @ 11:30 hth

the 1st time i went to the one in mass, they required a cc#, then the second time i called for an appt (they didn't know i had already been there) they didn't ask for a cc#. depends on who answers the phone i guess?

I went shopping for bridal gowns in the Massapequa store. I didn't have that great of an experience and found the workers to be a little rude and snobby.
I went to both Massapequa and Carle Place for bridesmaid gowns and received amazing help at both places.
