Had a bad experience gown shopping there so didn't end up buying (or barely looking for that matter). That aside...I'm in a wedding wear the BM gowns are from there. Just called to make my fitting appt and they only do fittings on Tues and Fri! I work in Manhattan...cannot get there by 7pm on those days. Picking the gown up and going elsewhere. Strike two.

have them ship your gown to the manhattan location and have your alterations done there

I didn't know there was another location. I duno - I'm so hesitant to go to that place! Have you been to the nyc one? Are they nicer there?? haha

aww, im sorry this happend. i tried on dresses at their store in massapequa and had a good experience. maybe it was the person you got. i agree with Barb though about shipping it to NYC

its ok.. gianniswifey and i were wlaking around for about 10 min touching every dress b4 any1 said anything to us. were they warm? no. but most places arent. u know how they are... they act like your best friend so they can make a sale.. all places are like that.
do what is convenient for u. have them ship your dress to manhattan.
the alterations lady there is nice..spoke to her for a few min

That's pretty funny. Complete opposite in Carle Place - I wasn't allowed within 10 feet of the dresses. They only allowed me to describe what I was looking for and the girl kept pulling the most horrible dresses. I ended up explaining to her that it's a shame they do it that way bc the dress of my dreams could be behind the doors and she could have a sale but we'll never know if I can't look. And then I left....
Thanks for the tip - I'll see if they can do that. If not I have a seamstress near home that did a great job on my BM gown for my sister so I'll just go back to her!

I called to make an appt to pick up my dress this Sat. I decided I don't want them to send it - I don't trust them. So the girl said 'well I can squeeze you in for a pick up at 115 that day, we're pretty booked because we're doing fittings'. WHAT? I told her I was picking up because I was told they don't do Sat fittings and she said they do 1 Sat a month. They couldn't tell me that yest when I called? Anyway, I'm going to go and see how I feel about their seamstress. If I get a bad vibe I'm just going to pick it up and bring it elsewhere. This place is a MESS.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience...I purchased my dress from Carle Place and have only had an awesome experience so far.

I'm glad you're having a good experience. It's one thing to be a BM and not like it but the bride should be happy.
I'm sure it's based on the individuals that work there - but unfortunately the ones I've encountered so far I'm not happy with.

They won't do ship to other Bridal Reflection Locations!!!!
The same thing happened to me. I live/work in the city and I had to drag my self out there -- it was such a pain!!!!

thats weird. they told me more then once they could ship my dress and my bm dresses to any of their other locations if i wanted. def try to get ur dress to manhatten if its easier.

Seems to be that the answers you get depend on who you get on the phone. One girl told me no saturday fittings the next told me there were fittings this sat!

I got my dress and bm dresses from the carle place location. I find that the women on the wedding gown side are much nicer and much more professional than the women on the bm side.
I really hope i dont have any issues when it comes time for fittings!

i went to both carle place and massapequa and i was annoyed that in the carle place location you cant look inside the closets for dresses. The sales lady kept bringing out dresses that were not my style and luckily my Maid of honor was with me and didnt listen to the lady she went into the closets and found dresses that were more what I was looking for but in the end I had my heart set on a kenneth pool dress from wedding salon in manahasset.. going to order it this weekend! =) yay!!!!
