Bridal Reflections Brides

Can anyone who used Bridal Reflections for their gown comment on how reliable they are?

When I ordered my dress in January (9 months before the wedding) they said it would be in in July (3 months before the wedding).

When I called to check on this last week they said it is scheduled to arrive in the second week of August

That's only 7 weeks before the wedding -- should I be afraid???

Also does anyone have good/bad things to report on their alterations from Bridal Reflections???

TIA

Re: Bridal Reflections Brides

I haven't had my alterations done yet, but when I ordered my gown (last August) they said it was scheduled to be in by the end of the year. It came in towards the end of January. I ordered my dress far in advance though, so I wasn't concerned that it came in a few weeks after they said it would.

Which BR did you order from?

i had the exact same problem. i told them that it was not exceptable and to fix the issue, they kind of did and instead of 6 weeks late it was only 2ish weeks late. they said it was the manufacturer.

i say call them back and tell them to speed it up....

I used the Carle Place store. . .

I used the Carle Place store. Ordered my dress March, came in middle to end of August. Was scheduled for September.

You have enough time for your alterations. Maybe ask if they can schedule now, around the time the dress is scheduled to come in, this way you won't have to worry about when you will make the appointments.

I had many, many, many problems with them detailed in this post:

I know most stores will not let you make a fitting appointment until your dress is in the store. I think its kind of rediculous b/c it takes so long to make an appointment! It seems a lot of people are having trouble

My sis used them for BM dresses for her wedding. NEVER again. They were the WORST vendor. Eveyrthing came in completely wrogn sizes. My mom had to tell the seamstress how to alter my gown and she did a terrible job. Schedule our fittings as far ina dvance as possible so you have time to correct problems. They BURNED a BM's dress, and then they remade the bottom of the dress in a DIFFERENT color. It was awful. If they gave me my dress and my Bm dresses for FREE I would not go there. Not to make you feel bad, I just can't contain my wrath, and I can't stress enough how much you have to WATCH THEM! Make SURE everything is right AHEAD of time.

I used Carle Place too. Not only did they get the manufacturer to come down in price but they matched it. They saved me a lot of money on a VERY expensive dress, My bridesmaids started looking there too and they were very nice and accommodating to those of us who were there. I had a great experience so far. Everyone has different experiences.

I ordered my dress from BR in Massapequa and they were great. I dealt with Laura and she was a sweetheart. The dress was perfect, the alterations were perfect. No complaints except that they wanted me to order two sizes bigger than I needed and I signed the waiver to order the size I wanted and it came in a little big

I haven't a bad word to say about the Massapequa store. My dress actually came in EARLY!! They have been nothing but nice and accomodating to me since I walked in the store.

I've heard a lot of problems with the carle place store, but not the Massapequa store.

I ordered my dress in Dec. fro mthe Massapequa store and it was in by the end of April. So far, even though I haven't had my fittings yet, they have been absolutely wonderful.

I think that brides should differentiate between the two stores, because, although they are by the same name and probably owned by the same people, the service you get is very different. When you first start to read a post about simply 'bridal relfections', you never know which one the bride is talking about.

It just helps for all the brides involved. Just a thought...

Don't worry samnjenna, you still will have plenty of time to get your alterations done!

The Massapequa store is awesome. My dress was 3 weeks early, and they were wonderful when I was trying on dresses.

I haven't a bad word to say about them either. It's amazing though, the more expensive dresses are at the Carle Place store, and that store is the one with the most complaints.

I just got back from the one in Carle Place to visit my dress for the first time and it is perfect. The two girls there were AMAZING and one was kind enough to show me how to sit with my poofy gown...they were VERY accomodating but everyone has their own experience, luckily mine happened to be good.

I used them and they were great! I ordered mine in February for my November wedding and it was there in plenty of time. I didn't even go for my first wedding until 5-6 weeks before the wedding and the second one a week or 2 before and it was fine so it was my final.

I wouldn't stress!!
