Bridal reflections girls - need honest money answers
BR girls - can you tell me how much you actually paid for alterations and bustle for your dresses and what you got done? I'm freaking out about how much this is going to cost since I want a french and need a significant amount hemmed.
TIA for the honest answers!! I need to include it in my budget!!

They didn't write the caps for alterations and bustle on your contract? They did that for me... for regular and french...

they wrote caps, but that's not how much it actually costs, right? Like it all depends on what you get done... that's what i thought...

Re: Bridal reflections girls - need honest money answers
there, the regular bustle is $95. that's just like...when they pull up some points of the train and attach it to the body of the dress. the other bustles (like french) range from $145 - $295...they told me $295 for french. google image what that is...it's like when it bustles under itself and makes like a bubble.

My alterations cap is $595 & my bustle caP is $295.
My gown is 100% going to need a French bustle, so I know it'll be $295...not sure about alterations as of yet...I will have my first fitting in June.

ya i know the caps, was just wondering if anyone had an actual amount they spent. $595 is the MOST you'll spend, right? So if you need less work than $595 worth, I wonder how much less it is?

when i bought my dress they said that they cap at $595 but most girls are in the $250-350 range. I dont know if they just told me this to calm me down or if this is legit.

Re: Bridal reflections girls - need honest money answers
I just went for my first fitting last night at BR carle place. First of all I LOVED my seamstress. She knew exactly what I was talking about and what my concerns were. They told me my alterations would be $305 plus $95 for my bustle. I am having a decent amount of work done. They are taking in the top about 2 sizes, making a sweetheart neckline, moving the bones and taking up the hem. I figured I would have reached the cap but happily I did not!
Hope this helps!

My receipt says $495 for the cap max.
**Forgot to mention: My first fitting is on the 1st, so I'll let you know how much they break down the price. **

My entire town was taken in an inch on one side, a quarter inch on the other side, hemmed, and the neckline detail was reset b/c it was a mess from the factory. That was about $200.
I had a regular bustle - the train was attached to the gown at three points - and it was $95.
