Hi girls: My best friend (who is getting married in October) went to Bridal Reflections and fell in love with a dress. The designer of the dress is Del Monet and Bridal Reflections claims that they are the only bridal salon that carries this designer. This designer's name is not listed on their website and the dress had no tags (except for the dry cleaning tag). Has anyone ever heard of Del Monet? Has anyone had an experience like this at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa? Thanks!

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa Question
Similair thing happened to me - I suggest calling Burton's in Melville - they have most makers books, and you can go there and look through them until you find the one - and it would be much cheaper - unless of course they are the only ones who carry that line...

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa Question
definitely try to find it somewhere else if you can, if only to be able to compare. When i learn that a bridal shop cuts the tags out of dresses i become suspicious and it is always good to try to verify with the manufacturer that the shop you are getting your gown in is an authorized dealer.
i don't know anything about that manufacturer, but you might want to try the bridal bargains website. they are awesome and you can email them and they will help you track it down. good luck!! http://www.windsorpeak.com/bridalgown/index.htm

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa Question
yea definetely don't go by Bridal Relfections-IMO they act like they are the end all to gowns--sorry-just had some bad experiences with them--i would suggest calling BURTONS or other salons and see if they carry that brand!

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa Question
I did not buy my dress there, but went there to try on a few times & the dress I loved was a similar story. Some designer that I had never heard of & no tags. I searched everywhere to compare & asked at other salons & nobody had ever heard of it. I brought my stepmom back & she swore that the salesperson was trying to sell me the most expensive dress even though it wasn't the best on me. Lots of people have great success with that store but that was my expirience.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa Question
I got my dress from BR in Massapequa, and ALL the tags in all the dresses I tried on were there I personally would not have brought my dress if I couldn't know who made it. I als had a great experience with them.

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa Question
I ended up buying the dress from BR In Massapequa- I guess it is a Del Monet-- I went to so many different stores and did not see it anywhere else- I kinda believe them about only carrying it there. Plus I went in there to look at a dress that was $500 more and the salesperson said the cheaper one looked better on me. I wonder if it is the same one--

Re: Bridal Reflections in Massapequa Question
Bridal Reflections has a few designer that design only for them. I too tried a Del Monte dress.
