Who does better alterations? I live closer to carle place and would prefer to have the dress shipped to carle place. however which salon does better alterations from your experience? Thanks girls!!

I don't have experience with Carle Place, but I do with Massapequa. I don't know if the same lady does wedding gowns and the BM dresses, but my BMs had nothing but problems with their dress alterations there.

A girl who works in a different boutique in the city used to work in both the LI Bridal Reflections. She said that the Carle Place seamstress is outstanding. Nothing wrong with the Massapequa one, though.
But from personal experience, I did not have a good experience with the workers at CP. The girls in the Massapequa shop were wonderful.

My personal experience was with Leia (sp?) at Massapequa, and I CANNOT tell you what a DOLL she is. She was so kind and lovely to me for all of my fittings, and my dress fit me perfectly and like a glove. She was like a mother, ooohing and aahhhing with me each time I came in and tried on the dress. She was fantastic!

I'm sorry I wish I knew the name of the seamstress that did my girls dresses and my MIL's dress. She made my MIL leave in tears.

i think the woman at massapequa is zizi . has anyone used her? carle place is only 10 min from me but massapequa is about 30 min so i would prefer carle place but i hear zizi is really great. im not sure what to do.

MY BRIDEMAIDS had the WORST experience with their alterations at Carle Place Bridal Reflections!!!! My sister had to return probably like 6 times and the last time, they STILL didnt get it right!! The dress actually ended up not even looking like the dress was supposed to look like. It was awful....thank god they gave her a discount cause she was so unhappy!! My other BM's had problems with the alterations as well...but not as bad as my sister did.
My wedding gown was altered at the BR in Mass....I loved them!! and they did a great job so I def recommend BR in MASS!!!

ditto on experience part....was not happy with the girls at CP at all. Massapequa girls were a lot friendlier and patient. JMO.

There is more than one seamstress in Massapequa. Mine was Leia.

Ahhh I'm nervous now hearing about this!! Do people usually need alterations? I'm tall so I won't need a hem, and when I tried the dress on it fit almost perfect. I don't want alterations or problems!! I bought my dress at the Massapequa one, but I live closer to CP.
