My bridal gown shopping has officially begun. Does Bridal Reflections in Massapequa have a large selection of dresses under 1000? I want to make sure I am spending my time wisely! So far I have been to Adriennes and Angels and have had pleasant experiences. So far theMaggie 'Grace' is in the lead. Thanks!

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
I went to bridal reflections in Carle Place and in Massapequa. I was never more insulted in my entire life when I was in the Carle Place store. The salesgirl said ' Sweetie, if you don't plan on spending at least 1000 dollars then you don't belong here.' Well I gave her a piece of my mind and walked right out. I went to the one in Massapequa and they were very nice but they had a little selection. I was married 2 years ago and I went to Lillette's in Baldwin on Merrick Road. They have a ton of dresses and my dress was 800 off the rack and 400 for alterations so 1200 altogether. Not bad! Plus I didn't get any bitchy attitudes! Good luck!

The dresses that I tried on in Massapequa were higher than $1,000 but that could be because I told her my limit was 2. Macy's in Manhasset had a nice selection and I think there are a lot under $1,000. I too have heard that the Bridal reflections in Carle Place is really snobby.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
because i live out of town, when i realized i was coming in to NY, my mom made appts for me to go dress shopping. when she called BR and was asked what our budget was, my mom gave a very vague amount. the woman on the other end of the phone WOULD NOT set the appt without a defiinitave budget...well instead of going there at all, i went to lillette's in baldwin. My gown was $1800...not cheap i know...but sucks for BR cause they lost my business!!
go to lillettes though...they will work iwth you and only show you dresses in your budget. they have a great selection and i do know they have quite a few under 1k.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
I know asking your budget can possibly be offensive. - However, consider this - Would you want them to show you a $10,000 gown that you tried on and absolutely fell madly in love with - and then could not have ?? - I would not ! - And to be honest, they are they to sell you a gown, - WHY waste their time and yours by lugging out gowns that are way out of your price range ?? It's like torturing yourself ! I had great experiences @ both Bridal Reflections locations. - I think the Carle Place location has the gowns that are more expensive. - Make an appt w/ Gloira in Massapequa - she was my first stop and my best experience ! - I loved her !! She is extremely professional and will tell you right off the bat what style is going to look best on you - (Not that she won't show you anything you want of course) But she was 100% right w/ all of the advice she gave me - And they have many gowns under $1,000 - Go in there and be honest, tell her your budget is absolutely $1.000 and not penny more. I ended up getting my gown @ Carle Place and they have been great !!

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
I went to BR in Massapequa and put down that my budget was under $1000.
The lady that 'helped' me asked me what I meant by $1000. I said....what do you mean? She wanted to know how much higher Id go. I said my budget is $1000. I guess they didnt understand. She asked me several times. I was offended and so was my mother and my mother never takes my side with situations such as these.
Too bad since I got the same dress I tried on there for $820 meanwhile it was $1350 at BR.
To each their own. It was a little too 'shi-shi' for mine and my families taste

I would also recommend Lilettes. I did not go the Bridal Reflections but I did go to Lilettes and they spent over 3 hours with me. They were really wonderful.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
My best piece of advice: DO NOT try on gowns out of your budget. PERIOD
You can try Paradise Bridals in Patchogue, They had lots of gowns under $1k.
I have also heard good things about Lilette's.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
I have heard that BR in Massapequa does not carry as many of the higher end designers as Carle Place. But I don't know that you'll find something. That store was a bit small, but the women who helped us with BM dresses for my brother's wedding were very nice.
I think you'll find less attitude and better deals at some of the smaller salons. I have been pleased so far with the service at the Bridal Garden in Bethpage, and they had a good selection of dresses that were affordable.

I bought my dress at BR in Massapequa and I love them!!! I have had great experiences!! They have treated me like a queen. They don't have many dresses under a $1000. But I highly recommend them. They have been nothing but great to me and I never felt out of place there. Good Luck

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
The woman helping me at BR of Mass explained to me that I had to give her a max because she didn't want me to fall in love with a dress and then realize I can't afford it. I thought that was a good idea.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
I went to BR in Mass. and Gloria was very willing to work within my budget of $1,000. When I found the dress for $900 she even got me a steal on a really expensive headpiece and veil. If you go there, I would ask for her.

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
I ordered my dress from BR in Massapequa and so far I've been pleased. We originally told them around $1500. When my mom suggested I try on a dress that was much more money, Gloria tried to talk us out of it. We won, I tried it on, fell in love with it, and ended up ordering it. They're right to ask your budget and try to make you stick with it. My dress was a lot, but I'm thrilled with it and so is my mom (which is important, since she's paying for it!) Good luck!

Re: Bridal Reflections Massapequa
I hate the people im bridal reflections carle place-i will never go in there again. It was the first place i went to and i had been there before with my friends so i knew they were snotty. You have to fill out this dumb form with the price range on it-that is really all they care about. Now i am not wealthy, but i knew if i put too little they wouldlaugh at me so i put 2-3k. The lady told me that i would have trouble finding a decent gown in that price range. I wanted to cry and I felt poor. I was so mad. First of all that is not true either-there are plenty of dresses out there much cheaper than that and gorgeous. I didnt want to spend that much either-i just wrote that down. So I walked out. My sister almost punched out the lady. The lady told me to go tot he other bridal reflections because they had more in my price range. I went there and the dresses are cheaper-they just didnt have alot. Lilettes has a lot and I got my dress at Macys bridal in manhasset. They had a lot also and the prices were great and the people were so nice. Good luck!!!
