Bridal Reflections' My personal Experience Tonight

I just came back from BR- Carle Place with a friend of mine.

I know I have been hearing alot of complaints about this place but can I tell you my experience was wayyyyy different than I expected.

My friend was dealing them and I started to look around and saw a dress that I liked. The receptionist/sales lady Marre was soooo nice and asked if I wanted to try on the dress.

Mind you I did NOT have an appt and had NO intentions of trying on any dresses from there (WHich is way over budget for me) but I was really shocked that she offered-I tried on the dress and even though the dress did not look right on me- I was still appreciative that she allowed me to try on the dress.

I also met the manager there- name Michelle who was also a doll. IF my budget somehow increases I will def. be going there- just on the strenght of my experience tonight.

I guess the moral of this is don't always take what you see on these boards to heart- go and try these places out for yourself.

I'm happy to hear you had such a pleasant experience!!! I don't think I've heard bad things about the BR in Carle Place, but heard the worst things about the one in Massapequa....plenty.

That's wonderful that you had such a good experience there! Goes to show that you shouldn't always believe what you read. It's terrible that it happens. I think sometimes you have 1 or 2 bad associates in one store and that ruins it for the entire stores reputation.

I have to include that I got my dress from the one in Massapequa and had a very good experience as well.

I totally agree with your 'moral of the story'

But... I just want to let you know a little inside story that I have from that store...

My Aunt used to work there for like 10 yrs... on many occasions they didn't 'order' your dress... they just gave you the one that was on the floor if it wasn't that popular of a style... they would pretend that it was the one that was ordered and pass it off as if it was brand new meanwhile it has been there for years and tried on by many.

Just a litte insider FYI...

I am not saying not to go there... because I most likely will go there too to look around. But my aunt said... to discreatly mark the dress maybe with a red sharpie on the inside if it is 'the one' and then you will know if it has been ordered or not.

That is what one bride did and it blew up in BR face.

i couldn't agree with u more. i went to david's bridal for my dress. i heard bad stories about them. i had the best experience with them

i agree - eventhough I had bad experiences at both - it all depends on who you talk to at the store!

I had a great experience with them too. They really took care of me. They also gave me a huge discount on my dress!

I couldn't agree with u more. I went to david's bridal for my dress. i heard bad stories about them. i had the best experience with them

I totally agree with you. I've heard bad comments made about Davids, but my experience with them was great. The young lady that worked with me there called me to let me know that my dress was in, then the next day called me to tell me that the BM dresses that I loved was discontinued. She even helping me found a new dress for my girls.
Yes, the advise here are good, but it's not gold, and every person will have a different experience.

I went to the one in Massapequa and had a great experience!! I bought my dress there on the spot...

I agree that you have to try the places for yourself and not take the opinions of others as fact.
