Bridal Registry

Was wondering when u Fellow 09 Brides are going to create your registry.

I am getting married in April 09 and was thinking if September would be a great time to make the registry or should I do it before or after. Any suggestions.

I registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond so far. I don't know if there is a set time limit to register. I say, register whenever you want.

I'm getting married May 09 and I registered at Bed Bath & Beyond already. And I'm trying to get the FH to Macy's to register there too but getting him to go is like pulling teeth. I think you can register whenever you want but some things might discontinue - but you can always update it.

Did the bridal sales representatives look weird that you registered a yr before?

In my opinion one of the first things you do should be the registry for several reasons 1. It is super fun and a great way to relieve wedding planning stress hehe 2. This way if anyone wants to get you an engagement gift or if you are having an engagement party they know what you need/want. We got engaged in February, we did our registry in March and we are getting married this coming February. So we did ours 11 months out. But I think I was just excited to use that gun thing!

I registered in Jan '08 at macy's and bed bath and getting married oct '09- we had a small eparty so wanted to do b4 then.

All the sales persons we dealt with were fine with us registering when we did.

Now i can update as i want closer to the wedding.

register when you want to and have the time to do it and HAVE FUN!!!!!!

Thanks girls I am going to register in May, which is when FH and I will have more time. I can't wait to you the gun thingy and FH is actually excited to registered.

I'm getting married next June and I think I'm going to start registering this November/December -- I think you can register whenever you want, just be careful bc some things might get discontinued!!

I registered in February for my wedding next January. We just wanted to do something fun one day and our engagement party is in July so we wanted to be prepared for that too.

Plus people are already asking us and getting us engagement gifts, so it's good to at least know where to point them.

i started a mini registry at Kohls for the eparty, cause my friends insisted that i have one....but i probably wont start the real registry stuff until next year...maybe like March..depending on when the bridal shower is..
