Bridal Review for dress shopping Day 1 ( now with pics)
Well considering the crappines of the weather things went smoothly we arrived in bayshore and was given full attention. Maryellen helped me out and she was amazing. Not pushy she asked me my price range and she showed me near it (obviously more money then what i had said but i knew that ahead of time). I tried on all private label dresses they carry there only unfort. I am not sure of the exact make/style but i have pics. I really have to say looking at the pics I really do like the one with the sash and she said I could get that in green if I like and maybe a jacket.

I wasn't crying or in love with anything. I told them I want a sleeve or a jacket to cover up my fat arms and she laughed. I tried on one dress that I really did like the top but seemed so plain on the bottom for me. Tried on all a-lines. My flower girl tried on a dress and she liked it and it matched one of the dresses I had picked out as my top.
We then went to lunch at Lilly Flans in Babylon

Proceeded to Carmela's in Huntington. Well we were very pleased with the service. I forgot the ladies name who helped me but she was kind and patient. We looked at dresses over my budget but my mom was okay with it. So I had on a few maggies and I few that i missed their labels. Anyway since I couldn't take pics I had to try to remember them as best as possible. One dress I found online and i know its a maggie. The other dress I tried on is what I thought was a maggie or demetrious but now i am not sure it is a a-line with a flare out on the bottom (like a trumpet a bit) with chiffon skirt on bottom - lace on top. Either dress I would have then a little jacket made up to cover my arms and that makes me happy. The only negative after 30-40 min I had to leave because her next appointment was there and I still didn't get to look at bridesmaids or flower girls really but its okay she appologized.
So in the end I think if you make an appointment during a weekday as early as possible in the day to avoid the shuffle of people I think both were great places to work with.
