Bridal Salon for over Size 10?

Does anyone have an idea of nice bridal salon for my wedding dress that has sample sizes bigger then 10? I currently am in between a 14/16 and I just got off the phone with 2 boutiques in NYC who only go up to size 12. Ugh! The size I am trying to get to by wedding time. Thanks for anyone that could help. I live in Queens but could go anywhere. NYC is just more conv.

I think lots of salons on Long Island do! The salon I got my gown at had samples that varied a lot in terms of size. I am a street size 6-8 and ended up in a size 10 casablanca (fit like a glove), but they had me in a good number of samples that were sized 12 and 14 as well. This was at Helen's in Commack. I loved it there. :) But to be honest, I think you will find that many salons on LI carry samples in your size!

Also, I have found that not all designer's sizes were created equal....at another salon, I tried on a 12 that wouldn't zip up past my butt. For these they were able to clip them on to me so I could see what they looked like. But I have found that designers like Maggie, and Casablanca are a little more generously sized. My point is I guess, don't think too much about the number on the tag because it doesn't really seem to have much real world application lol. I wouldn't rule out trying on a size or two down unless you need to buy a sample!

I ordered my gown from Lotus Bridal and they don't carry larger sample sizes. One of the reasons why I liked them was that their samples were smaller than most of the other stores I tried.

ETA: Lestan's in Brooklyn carries larger sized samples.

im a 14 sometimes a 16 in regular clothes depending on the cut and i found that most of the salons i went to had a mix of dresses that fit (and when i say fit i mean i could get on me but not always zip them all the way up) and dresses that couldnt even be squeezed on. just a warning so your not shocked bridal runs really different than regular clothing. so if your a 14/16 in regular clothes you'll probably be a 20 or 22 in bridal. its stinks but its just the way it is. for some reason they always seem to run 3 or 4 sizes smaller. its depressing to say the least.

in my experience i want to davids (had tons i could try on), paradise (i could try on alot there too just didnt like any of them) bridal world in baldwin (lots in my size), bridal salon of manhassat (this was the worst not based on service just in selection, most bridal stores have samples in a bridal 10 they only carried samples in a bridal 8 which is like a street size 4 and impossible to get on for me so i dont recommend them for that reason, plus i found them to be a little pushy for my taste insisting i should just buy it without actually trying it on just resting the gown up against my body and i was not willing to do that) and village bridal. i ended up buying my dress from village bridal i found them to be so sweet and didnt pressure you at all probably because they dont work on commission plus they had a very large selection of dresses in bigger sample sizes i tried on the most gowns at that appt.

I think most stores have their samples in at least 10's. They are more like 12 or 14, from what Ive seen....
You should be fine!

When I tried on dresses at Macy's on 34th street most of their samples were size 14/16.
