Bridal Salon RAVE!!!!!!!
I just had a very emotionally exhausting day of bridal gown shopping which resulted in the biggest VENDOR RAVE and I wanted to share!
The back story: I went in April on my bday just for fun to try on gowns and walked away not being able to get this one gown out of my head. I looked it up and saw it was on the older side, so I decided I should act soon in case it becomes unavailable in the future. Well, my dear friend is visiting from a very very far away home, and I decided having her here was the perfect time to round up the troops, try the dress on again to make sure it was 'it', and get it. I called the salon, told them I was coming back to try it on again, and made the appt. Well, I arrived today to find out they sold the gown last week. I made the appt on Monday. Am I crazy or should they PROBABLY have mentioned it on the phone when I told them I was coming in to try it on!?!?!?!?!!!!!!!!!!
So, I left in tears and too my entourage to Helen's of Commack to try some other gowns on.
At Helens, I was greeted by a very friendly girl and was told that Ashley would be my consultant. She saw I was upset, and listened patiently as I cried about the previous situation (embarrassing I know!!!) She was SO patient and compassionate.
An hour an a half later, she was just as patient as sweet as I battled in my mind between two gowns, a Casablanca and a Maggie. The seamstress even came over and showed me what a bustle would look like and spent some time pinning it up to show me. At the end of the day, my family and I agreed that the Casablanca was more flattering, though I really loved the beading on the beatrice. Ashley assured me that they could add beading to the Casa to make a sparkle a bit more to my taste. I am going back on Friday or Saturday to get measured with some heels and put down the deposit. All in all, it was an amazing experience and they were SO patient and tolerated my large group with pleasure. From the tears in the beginning to my hour and a half of trying on 12 gowns, Ashley was a true delight to work with and I would recommend anyone who has not get gone gown shopping to consider meeting with her!!!
Anyway, just wanted to share my great experience at Helen's.![]()
