Sounds like a random combo to show you all together but, I'm hoping to get shoes for myself in the same cobalt blue as the BM dresses! I want them all to have fuschia pink shoes which I considered but it would be fun to have my shoes be completely different and be my something new/blue!
I found an swesome pair of kate spade shoes in the right color and heel height (I can't have higher than 2in since FH is 3 in taller than me hehe).
My question is, is the shoe too modern for my dress? (dress pic in album) I think it works but my sister was concerned at first so I want to see what others thought.
Also, we haven't ordered them yet but what do you think of the BM dresses? They are belsoie (Jasmine Bridal) in tiffany chiffon.

I don't think it's too modern, IMO. I think it will look super cute when you take pics or lift the dress up!

In general, I think it's cool to mix modern and traditional elements. Your dress is a good example of that (the strapless silhoutte with asymmetrical waistline is more modern and the lace detailing is more traditional).

And thanks, Kerry...my sister was concerned at first that the shoes were too modern for the dress bc at first glance the dress is very classic, but she realized, too, it had modern elements like you said!
Another modern element (which is hard to make out in the pics) is under the first layer of tulle with lace applique, there is a layer of tulle with swiss dotting, its too cute.
I think I might go downtown to Kate Spade to try on the shoes after work!!

Kate Spade makes the most amazing glittery shoes that I want SOOOO BADDDDD to wear but I refuse to pay the 300+ dollars they cost lol.
But yea, great choice IMO! :)

I love the shoes!! That is such a great idea! I agree that it's fun mixing traditional and modern elements. Love love love your bm dresses! I picked out similar dresses by Bill Levkoff, only they are cocktail length.

Love the dress and the shoes. The BM dress definitely looks like it can be used again its so pretty.
