I'm going dress shopping next friday!! We're driving up to NY anyways for my FBIL's highschool graduation, so I figured I'd take a day while I'm there to shop with my MOH and FMIL. We are definitely going to Bridal Reflections in Massapequa. Does anyone have any other bridal shops that are highly recommended? Do most bridal shops have a range of dress prices? I'm trying to spend not too much, but I want to see all of my options. Thanks!!

Re: Bridal shop recommendations?
My FMIL is getting her dress from Charmet and they are not being the easiest people to work with.
First, they measured her wrong...now they are insisting that they can't give her a swatch of her dress because it is from 'overseas' which is ridiculous because most dresses are made overseas. I honestly think they are refusing to give her one because they want her to buy her shoes in their store...
So, my personal experience is not a good one there...but ,then again, I got my dresss at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa and they have been great, but i have read bad reviews about them on here too. So, check them all out and make your own decision. That's my advice.

My Mother got her dress at Charmet too and it was perfect. No problems. 'She lokoed so pretty I just had to include pictures. As for me they placed the order for my dress as soon as I ordered it even though it was 13 mths before the wedding. Thank goodness because Diamond Bridal the designer went out of business 7 mths after I ordered the dress. A lot of places would have waited until closer to my wedding. Also alterations were included, and I was able to go 'visit' my dress twice before I started my fittings. Sorry you FMIL had difficulities but that was not my experience. FYI: The have a different seamstress for brides and Mother's. (My dress and my mom's were worked on by two different people.)

Charisol is the name of the place you're thinking of. A man walking into the room where I was changing when I was there!

I live in Bayside and wasn't impressed with Charmet. I suggest you try a few places and go with where you feel comfortable.

My sister used them when she got married. We ordered her dress and bridesmaid dresses from there.... We also had a great experience with them... no problems!
