Unfortunately my mom lives in Fla so I'm not going to really get to shop for my bridal gown with her But she is coming to NY for Thanksgiving and we planned one day of shopping together... it'll be my first day shopping for my gown so I know I won't be ordering the dress that day but I do have to start looking so can you girls recommend some shops please? The only one that comes to my mind is Bridal Reflections in Massapequa... Thx

Check out Priscilla of Boston Not sure what your budget is but she has dresses from 1800-5000 and they are very nice to work with.

My mom lives in FL and I live in MO so we both flew to NY and shopped together. (I couldn't imagine not having my mom there to shop with me!) We only had one day, too. We went to Kleinfeld and had a great experience. I got my dress that day, so you never know!

Re: Bridal Shop Recommendations please...
Here was my experience - I wasn't crazy about the service at Davids Bridal in Carle Place, but it was a great way to try on a bunch of dresses and get a feel for which styles I liked. I went to Lillette's twice, and tried on tons of dresses, Gerri my saleslady was terrific! At Paradise Bridal I worked with Vivienne, who was also great. I really liked their selection of dresses. And finally, I think every girl deserves the Kleinfeld experience!! That place is amazing - such gorgeous gowns! I bought my dress during one of their sample sales.
Also, I would recommend not to book too many bridal shop appointments in one day. Getting in and out of those dresses can be very tiring, plus, being excited tends to drain you of energy too! If at all possible, see if you can break it up into two shopping days.
Have Fun!

RK Bridal in the city has a ton of dresses. I got the BM dresses there. And you can get a discount price if you choose not to get the dresses altered there.

My parents live in FL, too. I went ahead of time with my MOH to a bunch of stores before my mom came in, just to some of the foot work and narrow down my choices. Then when my folks were in NY for my e-party, we took one day and went to the 2 stores with my top picks. I got to try on a few dresses in each store so they could at least have a feeling of 'going shopping' even though I kind of knew which one I wanted. I took both my parents with me because I am really a Daddy's girl and wanted him to be just as much a part of my choice. The both loved it, and so did I. It meant alot to me that they were able to be part of that. Plus they bought it, so it was only right that they help me pick it out. LOL.

I also say Priscilla of Boston. They are very pricey, however, I looked at some samples and they were GORGEOUS. They are also wonderful to work with. I worked with Kathy.
