Bridal Shop to Stay Away from!!!!

I know its been said here before, but stay away from the Bridal Couture of Manhassat! I've spent thousands of dollars there and they are still the rudest most incompitent people. I got my dress, veil and head peice there because they do have nice things, but now I regret it. You can find nice things elsewhere! After having a problem with my veil when it came in (they did fix the situation), I decided to give them another chance and I ordered gloves there back in June. When I questioned them at my first fitting Saturday why I haven't received them yet, they rudely told me that I must not have really ordered nor paid for them because they had no record. Well the shocker they're going to have when I bring in both the stamped 'paid' receipt and the cashed check from 2 months ago! I feel they have lied to me numerous times (the glove thing is just the latest of many, many hard times with them) and they are total snobs to make it even worse!

Sorry you had such a bad experience. I'm surprised but not having the best time with the Bridal Suite in Bayshore. I live almost an hour away from there, but they had the dress I wanted and seemed so nice and helpful at first. Then all of my fittings and pick-ups have been chaos. First, they never notified me or my girls that the dresses were in. At my first fitting they had the wrong slip and were fighting with me about what I ordered until they checked the computer. Then, even though I got my cap on alterations in writing, they were trying to get more money from me for a velcro veil, which we had discussed at the time of my purchase. Other little things have come up, like they raised my girls cap, because I didn't get that one in writing, I got it over the phone. I'd never recommend them again, though I don't know where else to go, since I got BS from most places I went to in the beginning. All I can say is to stay on top of EVERYTHING and get EVERYTHING in WRITING so you can prove it without too much aggravation.

I posted a message a few weeks ago about the Bridal Suite in Bay Shore and was guilted into erasing it b/c others wrote positive things and I though that maybe it wa sonly me. I wrote a very long message and don't feel like writing it again, BUT we had some major problems there such as: 7 wrong bridesmaids dresses came in. At least the color was right. The only reason we knew about it was b/c a girl from out of town came in for a fitting earlier than we planned otherwise they wouldn't have notified us. Sizes were messed up left and right, they tried to bustle the bride w/ the cheesiest bustle possible just b/c it was easier for them. The brides dress wasn't ready for one of her scheduled fittings (7 of us were there to watch). The most frustrating thing was that no one would take ownership for the problems that were going on. A few months prior,i was in another wedding that the brides dress was ruined and being worked on 2 days before the wedding while the bride was crying and getting mascara all over it. STAY AWAY!!! They are horrible!!!
