So I am finally going to start looking for my dress!!! I need some suggestions on good places to go. I was so excited to go back to Bridal Reflections in Carle Place but I was told that their dresses start at about the $2k mark....I was hoping to spend no more than $1k but $2k would be my utmost limit and I would want that to include alterations. Obviously there are designers I love but they are all out of my price range.
Does anyone have any suggestions on reasonable placed prices on the island - either Nassau or Suffolf would be great! Thanks!

i went to the bridal suite in Bayshore Sunday. I worked w the best girl, and found a dress that i loved for $1090. i hate that i cant remember her name right now... but its on my sales reciept so i will post it later today. they were great patient and helpers me find my vision. hth gl!!

I bought my dress from Lillette's in Bellmore. The service was great and my dress was under $1,000 - it's a Maggie Sottero

Bridal World in baldwin. I did not end up buying from there..but my mom got her dress there and Janine is such a sweetheart and great to work with...and they had a bunch of things to try on within my budget which was no more than $2000

I went to Helen's and had a great experience, I am going back to get my BM dresses there. I have a maggie and it was a little over 1K.
I also had a good experience at Lilette's but the dress was a little cheaper at Helen's and it is closer to where I live.

only thing i'll say is to NEVER GO TO princess bridals in farmingdale. they're the worst people ever and will treat you like poop.
i would rather have paid an extra few hundred dollars at another store than deal with the aggravation that they caused me!
ETA: had to add where it's located so you know exactly what i'm talking about
I found my dress at Lillette's in Bellmore, service was great-- The designers was a Casablanca- around $1200 plus alterations like $1500

This!!! i love them. I bought my dress at a tent sale last year - eden bridal - $318 (normally retails for $1500 plus). They're capping my alterations at $225 too.
I would also very highly recommend Renata's in Lindenhurst. They have a very affordable selection - and constantly have a 50% off rack. Not to mention the owner is a complete sweetie pie.
