Brooklyn has a lot of amazing stores, restaurants (Bay Ridge, Bensonhurst, and Park Slope), reception halls and the most beautiful churches in the city. You really should come check it out.

I live in Brooklyn and all I know is Bensonhurst/Bayridge, so I know the restaurants and stuff but I'm totally lost in the wedding biz area.

I live in Bensonhurst and the Rex Manor is in Bay Ridge/Dyker Heights, but there used to be a lot more catering halls all of which would have a bridal show through out the year. The area has changed and they don't do them the way they used to, but Rex is one of the original halls and they still do. I bet El Caribe has them and maybe Micali Terrace too. I don't know if you know the Oriental Manor on 86th Street and 18th Avenue, well that went out of business just recently and they made it a 'discount clothing'. It is such a shame to see what was a beautiful, popular RH shut down.

Wow..I didn't know that they closed the Oriental Manor...Last I heard they were suppose to be doing renovations...that was last year...I'm in shock....all the receptions halls seem to be closing all over brooklyn...

I live right near there and I didn't even realize they were going to do renovations. I found out when my husband came home and said 'did you see what they made the Oriental Manor into' then he told me it was supposedly brand name clothes for less. I haven't gone in, but it looks terrible from the outside because they still have it decorated like the Manor. It really is terrible that all the Brooklylyn halls seem to be closing.

Oh my god I can't believe the Oriental Manor is closing! My uncle had his wedding there about 10 years ago and I remember someone got stabbed during the wedding that was going on in the room next door and there were cops all over the whole place ended up getting evacuated!
