Bridal Show last night at Verdi's....UGH!!!

Hey guys. I went to the Bridal show last night at Verdi's. I'm actually really mad. There was one vendor there, who does photography. I went with my best friend , who is also engaged. She doesnt have a photographer, but I do. So he asked me if I would like information and I said, no thanks, i already have a photographer. So then he had the NERVE to get all nasty and ask me who it was and hes like 'Oh i never heard of them' and 'have you put a deposit down'. 'how many did you see', 'why did you pick them'?? I got so mad. I said, listen, I'm really happy with my choice and then i left. I dont see why that vendor feels he has to put down another vendor just becasue i didnt pick them. Its just so rude. I felt like saying well ive never heard of you. UGH sorry, i had to vent!!

Urgh how annoying! I hope the shows I go to next week aren't like that!

Is Verdi the photographer that said this to you?? Whoever it was how dare they sorry you had such a bad experience. Why would they call it a showcase and then there was only one vendor there, what a true waste of your time. Even if you were looking for a phootgrapher, why would you go with someome so darn pushy anyway. Take care and happy planning

No, Verdi was the hall I was at. There were more vendors than that one. But yes that 1 photographer was very pushy and rude. the other vendors were really nice

I made the mistake of going to one in lsat year. All I can tell you is let the junk mail begin! Oh & we can't forget about the phone calls!! I found that most of the vendors at these shows are just like that. I think its the most obnoxious thing I've ever been through. I appologized to my Fi ALL the way home!!

If I were your friend I would of told the guy that with his comments she wouldn't hire him either!

Verdi's is on Old country road. Im not sure what town...maybe westbury?? Its pretty, i liked it

It's on Old Country Rd. in Westbury about 1 mile west of Wantagh (sp?) Pkwy.

I made the mistake of going there when I first got engaged as well. There were hardly any vendors there & the ones that were were definitely second rate. Pushy is an understatement. They told me that I could not enter unless I filled out a completed survey with my phone number. I could see this coming a mile away. I gave them a phony # instead. IMO I wouldn't waste my time at this place. You can do much better finding reputable vendors on this site!

I was at the same expo and received the same rude treatment. There were only two photographers there. I bet it's the same APPLEHEAD!!!!

When i went to Flowerfield on Sunday there was someone who does videos, I said no thanks I have mine booked already. She said 'watch this I guearantee you'll change your mind' I thought that was rude as well.

I also went to this showcase at Verdi, my FH and I were in awe of how CHEESY everything was there! Did you see the inflatable bride and groom shoot out of the dj booth? Or the screaming Tuxedo MC? It was definitely an experience. I had a feeling it was going to be like that so I put a fake address on my entry card!
