Bridal showcase winner?

FH & I attended a bridal showcase a couple of weeks ago. I just received a call saying our names were drawn & we won 3 prizes. I believe it was 2 free wedding bands, $1000 worth of coupons & a 3 day 2 night vacation to several islands in the carribean or a choice of 10 states including California, Florida & Las Vegas Nevada. The problem is they said FH & I both have to go tomorrow to redeem it or else we'll lose it. FH works tomorrow & I made other plans. When I told her we couldn't go tomorrow she said we would lose out on the prize. I'm just wondering if this is a scam? has anyone else received a similar call? we don't want to cancel our plans for tomorrow for nothing. I just find it weird that they only give us 1 day to redeem it & with such short notice..

They called me tooo several time! (cause I been to a lot of showcases) It is soooo shady. they rent out a hotel and set it up cause they want you to purchase items. Its kind of reminds me of those time share scams. Nothing is free in this world sadly. I never went but i went to their website cause i was weary of it too

They called me too about this weekend! I knew it was shady because when I asked what time it was she said oh its at 3:00 you need to be there on time because we have representatives talking to all the couples. I figured if there's that many people, then it's definitely not a good prize and something is shady because they wouldn't be giving it to this many people haha

I got the same call, told her we couldn't go that weekend and she should pass it on to someone else....when she said we had to go in and sit with someone for an hour and a half so they could 'explain' our prizes, I immediately thought timeshare shpiel (sp?)! Hell no, if I won a prize, just send it to me, why do I have to be subjected to a sales pitch for that long?!

I received the call? If you look it up they will be trying to sell you knifes and kitchen like stuff. It is a scam unless you are okay with paying 300.00 for knives to get a free wedding band.

oh man. I feel so stupid because I was really excited LOL. I'm just glad we didn't cancel our plans today for nothing. thanks ladies!

If you ladies want to stop receiving calls, get yourselves a Google Voice number. It is free and goes to your Gmail inbox, via voicemail and/or if they leave a voice message, you can read it in email format.
