Bridal Shower

How far in advance of the wedding should they be? My wedding is next June and my MOH and mom wanted to throw it in April or May--but we are all graduating college (I kno, i kno...sooo young) this year and our spring breaks are not the same and many of my friends cant come home from school. So, it looks like winter break is the best time-- but is 5 months before the wedding too early??

Re: Bridal Shower

My wedding was this past June and my shower was in March, it totally threw me off bc I didn't think it would be that early!! I think there was a LIW bride who got married in March and had her shower the previous September. So I think 5 months is fine if that's the best time for all of you involved!!

Re: Bridal Shower

My wedding is in October, and we had my shower last weekend...I think it's okay to go 2-3 months in advance...5 months might seem a little early, but if that's what works for your Bridal party and family, then I say go for it!

Re: Bridal Shower

Don't worry about the timing if it is to early. My shower was in June and I am not getting married until late October - they wanted to surprise me.
My mom's shower was in April and they didn't get married until October.

Whatevery works out for everyone don't worry about protocol.

Don't worry about the timing!! My wedding is not until December, but I just had my Christmas in July themed shower this weekend. My family knows I am sneaky, so they had it really early to throw me off. There is no 'Right Time.' Have it when the most people can come, so you will have the most special shower you can have.
