Re: bridal shower ?
I have never been involved in a shower where the MOH pays. In my experiances it is either the mother of the bride, or split between all the BM's evenly.

Re: bridal shower ?
For my freinds wedding the MOB bought and cooked ll the food and the BM's split everything else. and when we had my SIL's shower her dad and mom paid for the hall and we paid for everything else.

Re: bridal shower ?
My MOH paid but that is fairly unusual in my experience.
Etiquette-wise, it is improper to have your mother or any family member throw you a shower...but the cost of showers and all that is included, most people ignore this rule.

Re: bridal shower ?
I've been in several BP's as a BM but not a MOH & I was always expected to contribute to the shower costs. I only had a MOH so she & my Mom paid for mine. I didn't consider that when I decided not to have a big BP.

My mom and my sister (who was my moh) paid for my shower.

Re: bridal shower ?
At showers that I was the MOH I usually paid for the whole thing, sometimes the BM's would offer to help. Where I have been a BM I was usually contacted by the MOH or I contacted them and asked if there was anyway I could help whether it be financially and/or with planning.

Re: bridal shower ?
In the bridal parties that I have been in, the cost are handled by the Mother and Bride's maids. Its split amongst all of them.
