bridal shower advice

....i am the moh for my fsil wedding this october and me and my mom are throwing her a shower since her family is from china......

her and my brother live in Georgia and we are having the shower here in ny. Is it rude to ask for gifts sent to thier house and gift cards since they cant really take anything back w/ them on the plane???

How can I word that on the invites???

I don't think that's rude at all.. a lot of time if gifts are purchased online their home address will just be connected to their registry and they will be automatically sent to their house....

you could say something along the lines of, 'Gifts may be sent to the couples' address' and then list their address.

I am sure people will understand!

my cousin had moved to florida, but we had her shower in NY and we wrote something along the lines of 'please ship gifts to the couples home address' and everything was fine. When opening the cards, everyone included photos of what they bought.
