Bridal Shower after already married?

Bridal Shower after already married?

Just wanted some opinions on this-

My friend got married in June, 2005 b/c she was pregnant and moved her wedding reception to June, 2006.

She's already married, but is having a renewal of vows ceremony and a big reception w/the usual--photographer, flowers, etc.

So, is it tacky if she has a bridal shower before the reception, since she is already married??

TIA!!!

I think that if she put off her marriage to have her baby and now they are planning the full wedding, I think it would be okay for her to have a shower, it's before the full wedding anyway.

I keep saying 'full' wedding as in the actual reception. I know she's married already but I kind of feel like a shower before having her reception (even if she did get married, again, she was having a baby and she pushed off the actual reception) would be okay. JMO though.

my view is who the hell cares! why should she miss out on all of the things we get to do b/c she had to change her wedding to GIVE BIRTH TO A CHILD...

those that think it's tacky can opt not to go...but I think that for those close to her, they'd be just as willing to celebrate!

what's the difference, really, between this and people that are not yet married, but are already living together in an established home...??

IMO, it's not like she originally didn't want a shower, had her wedding then decided after that she changed her mind and said 'now I want a shower!', now that would be tacky.

Tell her not to worry!

Definately o.k.

Everyone deserves to have a bridal shower tohelp the couple out and if they already have a child chances are things are a bit tougher on them.

She didnt even have her reception yet? Then DEFINATELY!
