Bridal shower etiquette

When addressing the bridal shower invites, how do you address the envelope?

Say its going to Mary Smith, wife of John Smith
Do you say Mrs. Mary Smith, Mrs. John Smith or Mary Smith?

Help!

TIA

Bridal shower it is Mrs. Marie Smith or Miss Mary Smith, no reference to whom they are married to.

I'd do either Mrs. Mary Smith or just Mary Smith, depending on how formal the party is.

If it's a relatively informal party, I'd just go with Mary Smith. If it's a little more formal (like, one at a catering hall or restaurant, vs a backyard type party), then Mrs. Mary Smith.

I don't know what they did for mine, because I wasn't involved in the invitation process, but personally I tend to go for a less formal feel, so I'd just do 'Mary Smith.'

Honestly, I'd be pretty irritated if something was addressed to me as 'Mrs. John Smith' (obviously, insert my husband's name). I have my own name. It's one thing if we're invited together, but otherwise, I AM a separate person from my husband.
